Dear Birthmom

Dear Expectant Mother,

We can only try to imagine how difficult it must have been to come to this decision, so if you are to choose us, know you are also picking a family who will put your baby first no matter what. We also understand this journey is filled with conflicting emotions of joy and sadness. If you should decide we are the family you’re looking for, please know your baby will be raised in a family full of love, laughter, and openness.

The love you feel for your child and the love we feel for them will be the same. We want you to know that we will always put your child first. We will raise them to have courage and integrity. We will raise them to think for themselves and have the opportunities to experience any hobby or sport they decide. We plan to take many vacations with your child, bake lots of yummy treats, and raise them to be kind.

Your child will always know who you are, if that is what you choose. We can only imagine how difficult this may be for you. Thank you for taking the time to review our profile, and know we have so much more love to give to your child.

With love,
Lea & Peter

Our Story

We met in college through mutual friends but didn’t become a couple until about a year and a half later. After being best friends in the same friend group, we shared a kiss on New Year’s in 2014, and the rest is history. It truly was a storybook moment that changed our lives forever. Fast forward to present day, and we are still best friends. We love poking fun at each other to keep every day fun. We watch movies, ride bikes, kayak, and go tubing. We spend all our free time with friends and family or helping out with church events. Currently Lea works in HR at a family-owned building material supplier. Peter works in the financial crimes department at a bank. While we do love spending time together, we have separate hobbies. Lea likes to craft, read, and bake. Peter enjoys going to the gym, reading, and watching NBA (go Bulls)!

 Our Extended Family

Peter comes from a big Greek family where everyone lives about ten minutes away from us. Peter had one sibling—a younger brother—who passed away in 2016 at a very young age. However, he has four first cousins who are basically his sisters. They grew up spending time together every single day. They still share that special bond today. As for extended family, Peter has cousins, aunts, uncles, and many others who are around for all the holidays, birthdays, or even random just-because nights. There are many Greek and family traditions that will be passed on through the generations (like making all the yummy desserts).

Lea is the youngest of three children. She has an older sister and brother. Between those two, we have two nieces and a nephew, ages 7, 6, and 4! Lea also has many family members who live around her hometown (just 2 hours south of us). We spend many weekends and rotate holidays with Lea’s family. They come up to visit often as well. We look forward to sharing our cinnamon roll Christmas tradition and watching our children grow up with so many people who love them.

 Our Home

We recently built a cute, four-bedroom home in a lake town in Indiana. The subdivision is full of kids of all ages. Everyone is so friendly, and all the families look out for each other’s children as they ride their bikes throughout the neighborhood. Currently our two fluffy diva cats love all the space to run around (especially the stairs) but cuddle up to us every night. We live just five minutes from the lake and even closer to the great schools. The lake has boating and kayaking with restaurants on the water. The town even utilizes the lake for snow dirt bike races in the winter!

 Our Journey to Adoption

We would love to grow our family and decided adoption was the perfect route for us. Due to medical reasons, Lea cannot carry children, but that was something she has known her whole life. It did not come as a shock to Peter, and he was excited to grow our family in any way possible. We have so much love and support to give to any child. Lea has felt like she was born to be a mom with her crafting and baking skills and all her friends always coming to her for advice. Both sides of our family have children who are adopted, so the families are very supportive and cannot wait to meet the new family addition.
