Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
More than anything, thank you. Thank you for gifting us with the possibility of fulfilling our dream of being dads; the longing for a child has been with us for quite some time. We have established the beginnings of a family with our home, our dogs, cat and chickens, and are in a stable position to raise a happy and healthy baby. The reality of this huge milestone finally coming true brings us so much joy, and you could be the reason it’s happening. Truly, thank you.
With that said, we cannot begin to imagine the varying emotions you’re experiencing on this journey. We sympathize wholeheartedly, knowing you’re considering one of the toughest choices you might ever make. The best we can offer is the promise that we will raise your baby with as much love, affection and wonder as humanly possible - and hopefully in a way that would make you proud. We’ve selected an open adoption because we want to raise our child with them knowing where they came from and, if you’re open to it, knowing you.
We find that our future feels more hopeful, joyful, and purposeful knowing we could get the honor of showing love and life to this child. We hope you can trust us to raise your baby with a passion for life, knowledge, and adventure!

Our Story
In the years we’ve been together, we’ve cultivated many hobbies including gardening (veggies, fruit, herbs, flowers…you name it), hiking, and camping. Jeremy spends as much free time in the garden as possible and he has the sunburn to prove it! We also love DIY home improvement projects, pottery, art, and visiting local vintage shops. Braden specifically, enjoys painting and has made many custom portraits of friends’ pets.
We spend a lot of quality time with close friends trying out new restaurants and bars. On less adventurous nights, we enjoy hosting dinner parties, game nights or watching movies (Jeremy’s a sucker for popcorn). We also lead a monthly book club with various friends that has been running for 5 years strong.
Travel is also essential to our lifestyle. We enjoy visiting new places whether domestic or abroad and recently visited Hawaii, Spain and Japan and can’t wait to schedule our next trip!

Our Extended Family
Jeremy’s family is very close, silly and adventurous. He has a twin brother and they are two peas in a pod! His brother has four children, ages 6-13, whom we spoil and love to pieces. His sister lives in Oregon with her new puppy and she is an excellent advocate for any cause. Jeremy’s parents live in Florida and are the sweetest and most loyal grandparents there are - when his dad retires, they plan to move closer so they can spend as much time with the grandkids as possible!
Braden’s family all live in West Texas. Faith and family are very important to them. He has one younger brother, an older brother with two teenagers, and an older sister with two pre-teens. Both of Braden’s parents are retired and love to garden and travel to their grandchildren’s sporting events. His family is very musically talented, so we’re hoping to impart some of their musical skills in the baby’s life.
Outside of family, we cherish our close friendships and love going on trips, camping, hosting movie nights and game nights with them at our house. They’re so excited to meet the baby and to support us on this next chapter!

Our Home
We live on a peaceful, close knit cul-de-sac. Six of our neighbors have children of varying ages; all of our yards act as one giant playground for the kids and they explore it all! Our four-bed, two-bath home is a charming mid-century meets ranch style on half an acre. We have ample green space, gardens, fruit trees and a playground in our yard. We’re a short drive to the city but also have easy access to the country for more outdoorsy excursions. There is a neighborhood park a quick walk up the road with access to numerous hiking trails. We have two dogs ( a Vizsla and Frenchie), a cat (Tate…he’s basically a dog), and six chickens. There are talks of goats soon…fingers crossed!
Our Journey to Adoption
For both of us, having a child has never been a question of “if,” but “when.” With the overturning of Roe v. Wade, we feel even more certain that this path toward parenthood is the best for us, fulfilling our desire to be fathers while also contributing in a positive manner to a very real societal need. Adoption hits close to home for us as Jeremy, too, was adopted by his father and our niece was adopted. We’ve seen firsthand how special adoption is and the difference it can make in a life.
