Dear Birthmom

We could never fully understand the circumstances and emotions that have brought you to reading this letter and while we don’t know you yet, we are sure you are a brave, strong, selfless, loving mother. We are incredibly grateful you are considering our family to care for and raise your precious child.

If you choose our family, your child will grow up with 3 amazing older brothers who are each very excited about the possibility of a new baby sibling. Our journey to parenthood was not a simple one. It took 5 years of infertility and many medical procedures to finally receive the blessing of our twins. Before their 1st birthday we found out we were pregnant with our miracle baby. We always pictured a bigger family and wanted to fill our home with the joy and love of children, but having additional biological children is not possible for us. Recently we felt called to adoption, to step into this journey with you and grow our family in a new way.

We are praying for you and this journey you are on. We hope God brings you peace and gives you strength for whatever you decide. We would be deeply honored and forever grateful if you choose to entrust us with your most precious child. We would strive each day to make you proud and forever confident in choosing our family to take care of and parent your child.

Our Story

This used to be an unlikely start, but in today’s world, meeting your soulmate online is not that uncommon. Still, something about it seemed meant to be. On our first date, we went rock climbing and walked around the Christmas lights at our local zoo. Sarah was drawn to Josiah’s strength, tenderness and work ethic. He was drawn to her confidence and adventurous spirit. It didn’t take long for the two of us to know this was a forever love. He proposed on a weekend hiking trip, very fitting for the adventurous life we planned to build together.

After getting married, Sarah graduated medical school, completed residency, and started her career as a rural family medicine physician. Josiah found his dream job as shop manager of a small welding and metal fabrication business. We have bought our own piece of paradise and have built our forever home, and we are currently building a family to share it with.

 Our Extended Family

We are surrounded by so many supportive people ready to love on your child. Josiah’s mom, sister and her fiance all live in town within 15 minutes of our home. We are very close with our cousins who recently bought the property next to ours and plan to move down in the next couple years. Sarah’s sister lives a couple hours away with her husband and 2 daughters and we get together several times a year and celebrate birthdays and life together. We also are part of an amazing church community that we consider like family. Our children are growing up together, some attending school together as well. We pray for each other and we are walking this journey of life together, building memories with each other and our families along the way. Most of our birthday parties are held at the church with all the kids involved. We have done magician shows or have a superhero visit in costume, but it's so great that all these kids get to celebrate their milestones together.

 Our Home

If you choose our family, your child will grow up on our rural property where we have built our forever home. They will grow up with the ability to hike in their backyard, so far they can’t see their home, to play in the creek, to catch frogs in the pond, to ride four wheelers, and hunt, and fish, and get dirty. There is something magical about being in nature and to live among it is truly a blessing. We look forward to playing together in our backyard pool, roasting marshmallows by a campfire, and building memories with our friends and family.

 Our Journey to Adoption

We are an outdoors loving family. You can certainly tell by where we have chosen to live. In our living room you will find a large buck that was shot from our back porch. We take ATV rides through the woods and love watching our children play and swim in the creek. We also love to take outdoor adventures. Recently we vacationed near the grand canyon at an Indian reservation. This was a secluded campground that required a 10 mile hike to get to, even our young children did this as they had plenty of experience hiking and exploring with us. This trip allowed us to experience some amazing views of breathtaking waterfalls up close. We love to camp, backpack, and explore anywhere that allows us to take in the incredible beauty God has created. When our children get older, we will likely get back to hobbies we both did in our youth such as scuba diving and skydiving. We would definitely describe ourselves as high adventure. Our children share in this passion, to explore and experience the world together.
