Dear Birthmom

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We are so happy to be considered as parents for your baby. We recognize the difficult decision you are facing and want you to feel secure and happy with your decision. We are so excited to welcome a child into our hearts and hope you will give us the opportunity to love your baby. Your baby will be given every opportunity to grow their personality and explore their interests. We will provide a loving and stable home for your baby to flourish.

We look forward to watching our daughters welcome another sibling. We can already see their bond together and know how much they will love a new addition. They will enjoy having another playmate and best friend. We can’t wait to see the joy of little laughs and a bond that will last a lifetime.

We know this is a very important and emotional decision for you but are so grateful for the opportunity to welcome your baby into our lives. Our family is waiting with our arms wide open for a new addition to share our lives with. We hope you have the strength and confidence to make the best decision for you and your baby and would be honored to be a part of that decision.

Our Story

Rooster is a talented tattoo artist and owns his own business. He is very goofy, always making his family laugh. He is loving and loyal and puts his family first. Rooster enjoys creating in all forms, from storytelling to painting. Caitlin is a computer scientist and is much more “left brained” than Rooster. She is always learning and trying to grow. Caitlin has loved ice hockey since she was a kid. She plays regularly with her dad. She enjoys outdoor activities like riding her bike and rucking. We have two daughters, Eden and Maya, who have brought us so much happiness. They love to make each other laugh. It's fun to watch their personalities and friendship grow. Rooster loves to sing and dance with the girls. Caitlin likes to go on lots of walks to the park and pick out library books together. We are very different but complement each other well. We believe in people and let our compassion guide our actions.

 Our Extended Family

Caitlin has two siblings, a younger brother and sister, who Eden lovingly calls Uncle. Uncle Will lives across the country but sends pictures and plays with the girls whenever we get together. He is a gentle giant who scoops the girls up in his arms. Uncle Jean has temporarily moved away for her job but looks forward to coming back to New England to be close to family. She enjoys our chaotic video chats and has embraced Eden's given name of Uncle. She loves the girls and recently knit them matching sweaters.

Rooster’s family lives much farther away. We have made a tradition of going to see his family for Thanksgiving. We spend almost two weeks visiting his cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and all the great grandchildren (all 11 of them). Rooster has one sister who also lives nearby to the rest of his family. Rooster is the oldest of 12 cousins and loves his big family. They have welcomed Caitlin and joke that she is the only reason they keep inviting Rooster back.

 Our Home

We live in a three-bedroom home on a dead-end street just a couple miles from the beach and downtown. There are two parks half a mile from our house, and we have a fenced-in yard. We frequently walk to the farmers market at the elementary school or walk downtown just to enjoy the scenery. We share our home with two cats, Moscow Murphy and Winnabelle Watson. Moscow is a sphynx and hairless. He is always looking for love and will perch on our shoulders during game nights. Winnabelle is a Siamese rescue and shy but has a sixth sense for knowing when we need love. She always sits with us when we have had a tough day.

 Our Journey to Adoption

We both are excited to adopt but have come to this decision in unique ways. Caitlin has always had adoption in her heart. She grew up babysitting her neighbor, who was adopted from Guatemala. She has so much love to share with a child. She never imagined having biological children but was always excited to become a parent. Rooster comes from a big family and dreams of having a large family full of love and children. Rooster was adopted by his stepmother and wants to adopt a child of his own. One of the first discussions we had when we started dating was about children and family. When we met on deployment in Iraq, we agreed to adopt before we even got home and formally started dating.
