Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
No one expects to be in your position, facing this life-altering choice. We have no idea how you must be feeling right now, but we hope so dearly that you are feeling supported throughout this process no matter what decision you end up making. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and consider us for the immense privilege of raising your child.
Maddy was adopted as a newborn and has spoken to her own biological mother about what it was like to allow her child to be raised by someone else. She was worried that she would choose the wrong parents or that Maddy would grow up feeling like she was unwanted or abandoned. Maddy always felt deeply loved and was often told what a brave and loving choice her bio mom made.
If you choose to bless our family with adoption, we will provide a childhood full of adventuring outdoors, cuddling with dogs, reading great stories, playing games, and cooking as a family. Whoever this child grows to be, they will be loved and celebrated for who they are.

Our Story
We met in our first year of college, nine years ago, at a board game club on campus. After many beautiful walks, Skype calls, and dates watching musicals in Architecture Graveyard, we tied the knot in 2021 and moved to Colorado. We love walking our two little dogs, camping, swimming, listening to audiobooks, and going to Disneyland when we visit our families in California. Maddy is a pediatric occupational therapist who helps children with emotional regulation and independence skills. She is dedicated, organized, patient, and empathetic. Coleman is a software engineer working with satellites and hurricanes. He is adventurous, kind-hearted, attentive, and loving. We are both leaders of the weekly youth group at church. Coleman brings the silliness and is the first to join in on a game of tag. Maddy brings the expertise, choosing developmentally appropriate activities and tuning in when kids need a listening ear. We love spending time with kids and can’t wait to be parents!
Our Extended Family
Coleman is very close with his younger sister and parents. We love to hop on a family Zoom call and play games together or to have them stay with us in Colorado over Thanksgiving. Maddy has three little brothers, and the youngest one (age 11) comes to stay with us for a week every summer. Maddy loves to spend time with her dad, stepmom, and brothers, telling family stories and eating delicious food. Over the summer, we typically drive to California and visit Coleman’s aunts and uncles, Maddy’s cousins and their kids, and our mutual friends.
They were ecstatic when we told them we would be starting our family with adoption because they know how important it is to us. In Colorado, we have an excellent support system of friends who intend to act as uncles and aunts and an enthusiastic church community. Coleman’s parents are also planning to move out to Colorado to be closer to their grandkids.

Our Home
We live in a spacious, two-bedroom home with our two little dogs, Chip and Dot. Maddy works from home most days, and Coleman works from home part-time, which we love since we can eat lunch together and cuddle with our animals. We are less than a block away from a brand-new park, walking trails, and a natural area with several ponds. We love to take our hammock and spend the afternoon outside reading and exploring. Our neighborhood is in an excellent school district, and we live ten minutes from a family-friendly downtown with an amazing library and a huge variety of activities available for children to participate in.
Our Journey to Adoption
We always knew adoption would be a part of our story. Both Maddy and her mom were adopted, so this baby will be a third-generation adoptee! We hope to grow our family with siblings in the future. Maddy decided to get in contact with her biomom when she was 19 and now has a relationship with her and her two biological siblings. We look forward to guiding this child through their journey of self-discovery and supporting them in whatever their interests are as they grow. We will always be open with them about
where they come from and what a brave decision you made. We are so excited to become parents and to be on this journey!
