Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
This amazing thing you’re considering doing for this child won’t go unnoticed or be forgotten. We can’t imagine the feelings and struggles you’re enduring, and we’ll always remember the role you played in making our dream of being parents come true, should you bless us with this life-changing gift.
If we are chosen, your child will always be loved unconditionally. We’ll be there to support, guide, and teach them. They’ll always have someone cheering them on and helping them up when they're knocked down. We can’t wait to show your child what life has to offer: how to play hard, Disneyland trips, building forts, sports, and exploring the world. We’re also excited to teach them skills they’ll need to succeed: tying shoes, helping others, working hard, cleanliness, self-worth, coping skills, fixing a flat tire, or driving a stickshift. However, nothing beats teaching them the most important things—to treat people with kindness, compassion, and respect.
In the 8 years we’ve been together, we’ve always wanted to be parents. Our greatest love is watching our nieces and nephews grow, having sleepovers, playing with them, and caring for them. We long for the day we can do that with our children. We can’t wait to get to know you on a deeper level and to share your experience and selflessness with this child one day!

Our Story
Our relationship started in 2016. Kiersten received a white elephant gift on an online dating profile at farmersonly.com. She logged in to see what her cousin put on the profile, saw Zac’s profile, and decided to message him. We talked for a month, and after the first date, we knew we were going to end up together. Zac is a happy-go-lucky person, extremely laid back, and very personable. Kiersten is a very generous giver, always the first to help someone. We ground each other whenever the other is struggling. Zac is a truck driver, and Kiersten works as a pharmacy technician and is also a certified pool maintenance specialist. When we aren’t at work, we are at home playing games together, doing puzzles, watching a good movie or show, working in the garden, hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, swimming in our pool, or camping. Zac is an avid fly fisherman and loves to work on cars. Kiersten loves to cook, bake, barbecue, or play with our nieces and nephews. We love to have barbecues and help our friends and family in any way we can.
Our Extended Family
Zac has two sisters, three step-siblings, and a friend we call his brother. Kiersten has six half-siblings and three stepbrothers. Most of our family is in Utah, but we have family in Washington, Maryland, North Dakota, and Georgia also. We have seven nephews and four nieces. Zac has ten cousins; Kiersten, on the other hand, has dozens of cousins. Last we counted, it was in the forties but has grown exponentially since then.
Zac has a really close relationship with his uncle on his mom's side, and Kiersten has many close family relationships. Kiersten’s late stepdad, who raised her, died when she was a young adult. We continue to spend one week a year camping and boating together to remember our grandparents and the strong family they were able to blend. Most holidays are spent with family, and many Disneyland trips are taken with Zac’s family. We see our families multiple times a week, and they are so excited for this next step in our lives.

Our Home
We live in Utah. We have amazing neighbors and an acre of land with lots of fruit trees and a pool, clubhouse, garden, playground, and small shop. There are many people who take their off-road toys nearby to explore and play. We are about 30 minutes from the capital and have a theme park about 20 minutes away and countless recreational parks. The local schools are close by. Our school district is one of the best in the state. We have four dogs (three Australian shepherds and one poodle). Their names are Aspen, Boston, Cheyenne, and Trixie! They are the sweetest companions and absolutely love kids. They’re always so excited when nieces and nephews come to play.
Our Journey to Adoption
Having kids was always on our minds since we were young. However, we have been unable to have biological children after almost a decade of trying. After watching Kiersten’s grandma and aunt adopt and see how it blessed their families, we decided it’s time to open our hearts to adoption. We think it will bless our family too in countless ways. It doesn’t matter how our family starts. What matters is the endless love and support we will have for any child who comes our way. Kiersten’s grandpa says, “It doesn’t matter how your family came to be, because love is what makes it a reality. Family is thicker than blood.”
