Dear Birthmom

Dear Expectant Mother,

The fact you are reading this already brings joy to our hearts. As a woman, being told unexplained infertility crushed Dorina’s soul after years of medical intervention. In her heart, she always wished to be a mother and would promise to raise your baby with all the love and opportunities he or she deserves.

Your path for choosing adoption is a selfless, honorable gift that we could never thank you enough for. You would be making our dreams come true by completing our little family. Our marriage is based on honesty, loyalty, and respect for one another. We would like to instill all those qualities into our future child as well. We would not only open up our home but our hearts and provide endless support and love. Your baby would be raised in a hard-working, close-knit family with yearly vacations, many memories, and lots of laughter.

We would be honored if you would choose us. We want you to know you are enough and a very courageous individual for even considering adoption. We both wish you the best in your journey and hope you feel confident and at peace with your decision!

Our Story

Hello! We are Cody and Dorina, and we grew up in the same town. We have been married for five years and together for seven. Dorina is a nurse, and Cody works in sales. In our free time, we love to explore new areas and travel whenever the time permits. We love outdoor activities like hiking, gardening, pickleball, and taking our dog for daily walks. We also like to relax and spend time at home with family and play board games or cards on a Friday night. As a nurse, Dorina works three days a week; Cody is hybrid, so he only has to go to the office twice a week. We are also blessed to have Dorina’s mom live with us, who is truly the backbone of our family and our biggest support system.

 Our Extended Family

Family is super important to both of us, and we are blessed to have Dorina’s mom with us and Cody's parents and sister living 15 minutes away. Cody has seven aunts and uncles with many cousins. Christmas and Thanksgiving consist of everyone coming together. As many cousins are also married, the family has been growing even more.

Cooking is a big deal and a fun time that brings everyone together. Thanksgiving, for example, tends to be the women in the kitchen while the men are outside passing the football or watching the game on TV while asking about the delicious smells and when the food will be ready. Last year Cody and his dad fried the turkey outside, and it turned out amazing. Grilling outside or having bonfires with smores are some traditions we grew up with. Our extended family is also very excited, and they have stated they can't wait to meet the new addition to the family.

 Our Home

We live in a kid-friendly, gated community with two playgrounds and a pool. Our neighbors all have kids, and in the summer, everyone is outside riding bikes or playing some sort of game. We do daily walks with our dog, Benny, and he loves the attention he receives from everyone he meets. He is currently one and a half years old from our local shelter. He is the friendliest doggy and loves cuddles. We also have a seven-year-old kitty, Athena, who likes to keep to herself and only comes out for treats or when she feels like cuddling. This year we also fostered another doggy and were able to help find her a forever home.

 Our Journey to Adoption

We have encountered a couple of hurdles in life, one of them being unexplained infertility. After two years of IVF treatment with no answers, we have decided on the possibility of adoption. We have so much love to give, and we cannot imagine not being able to fulfill our dream of being parents. We have a great support system, and the child would grow up with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and lots of cousins. Cody has a cousin who is adopted, and they grew up as best friends, always spending summers together. We are physically, financially, and emotionally ready to provide a stable home life. We are truly grateful for the life we have and can't wait to be able to share that with our future child.
