Dear Birthmom

Dearest Expectant Mother,

Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude and respect for you. While we don't know you personally, we admire your bravery and courage in making such a selfless decision about your child's future. We imagine this must be a deeply personal and emotional journey, and we want you to know your well-being is always in our thoughts.

We often get overwhelmed with excitement at the possibility of welcoming a precious child into our lives. We have created a warm and nurturing home filled with love, acceptance, and endless possibilities. We have strong family bonds and a network of loving friends who eagerly await the opportunity to welcome your child with open arms. If you choose to make our family your child’s family, we invite you to imagine their days filled with laughter, exploring nature, and trying new things. We promise to instill in your child a sense of curiosity, wonder, and kindness, allowing them to discover their own passions and talents.

Ultimately, our greatest promise to you is to love and cherish your child with every fiber of our being. We will provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can thrive and flourish. We will honor your story and celebrate your contributions to their life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your consideration.

With heartfelt respect,
Bill and Zach

Our Story

The mantra of our relationship is “Timing is everything.” We believe certain moments can make huge impacts in people's lives, and this is one of them. We are Zach and Bill, and we are excited to be dads! Our friends have described Bill as gentle and dependable and have described Zach as creative and patient. Together, we believe we’re hilarious and spend much of our days laughing! We encourage each other’s passions and goals, and we are excited to do the same for our child. Bill is a director on a learning and development team, and Zach is a chemical engineer in charge of mentoring junior engineers. Outside of work, you’ll likely find us playing board games, painting, doing pottery, reading, cooking together, or dancing around our house! We love to travel and are excited to expose our future child to as many different countries and cultures as we can.

 Our Extended Family

For us, family is everything. We consider ourselves lucky to have close relationships with our parents. Zach’s parents are excited to be grandparents for the first time, and Bill’s parents are thrilled to become grandparents again! Zach has one sister, and Bill has three sisters. Our sisters are our world, and we actually asked only them to stand beside us when we got married. They like to take credit for the kind, loving men we have become! We also love being uncles to our nieces and nephew, and we’re lucky to be called Uncle Bill and Uncle Zach by many of our friends’ kids.

We’re fortunate to have big families who love to get together throughout the year. Outside of the many holiday traditions we celebrate, one highlight each year is Bill’s family’s annual beach trip, where almost 40 aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and great-grandchildren get together and have a blast! Zach’s family travels to Colorado for hiking trips in the summer and ski trips in the winter. Between our two families, there is no shortage of love. Our chosen family is always there for us too, and we spend many evenings hosting family dinners and game nights together.

 Our Home

We love our neighborhood! Bill has lived in our home for almost ten years, and Zach moved in about four years ago. We are a few blocks away from one of the largest parks in the city, filled with playgrounds full of families, walking paths, and lakes. You’ll find us there picnicking, playing games, or reading under the trees. We often walk to farmers markets, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby! Our school system is one of the best in the state, and the elementary, middle, and high schools are all within walking distance too!

 Our Journey to Adoption

Fatherhood has always been a dream for us. We were raised in loving, caring environments, and we’ve always wanted to create a loving home for a child of our own. We’ve seen firsthand the joy adoption can bring as we have relatives who have adopted and friends who are adoptees themselves! After witnessing Bill’s aunt and uncle adopting their two children and the love between the children and them, adoption became the clear choice for us. We are so excited to bring a child into our loving world and to give them the same kind of happy, supportive upbringing we had. We’re ready to be dads, and we can’t wait to start this new chapter of our lives.
