Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
We cannot begin to express our gratitude for your selflessness in considering making our wish to have a family come true. We are sure you have a million questions. We would be honored to answer them and support you in any way you’re comfortable with should you choose us. We can understand that one of your questions might be “Will my baby have a loving home?” You can be certain that your baby will grow up in a safe, supportive, and deeply loving home, where they will be encouraged to be their true, most authentic self. They will not only know our love but they will know your love as we pass it on to them and tell them about their adoption journey.
We will always encourage them to find what brings them joy by sharing our passions and other new experiences with them. We can’t wait to share our favorite activities with them, like learning how to ski at our local ski hill, traveling and learning about different cultures, or playing sports with family and friends. Most importantly of all, we want them to have fun and laugh every day!
Along the way, we will show and teach them empathy, the importance of forgiveness, how to be courageous, and, above all, the value and importance of wholeheartedly loving themselves and those around them. Thank you for considering giving us this wonderful opportunity to pass on the love that we have for one another as well as our desire to spread love and kindness in this world to your child.

Our Story
We met seven years ago playing women's ice hockey in the same league. We are both kind, energetic, and dedicated people who love traveling, learning, and spending time with each other and our three cuddly cats. Lisa is a determined product manager who loves to snowboard, sing in her local choir, and explore the small towns in the area. Kelsey is an athletic trainer (sports medicine) and teacher who loves to rock climb, cook, and play softball.
Our Extended Family
Kelsey: I grew up in Colorado with my parents and one younger brother. I would frequently spend holidays with my grandmother and grandfather as well as my many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Almost every summer, my family would travel to Montana to spend time with extended family while exploring the beautiful Yellowstone area.
Lisa: I grew up in Northern Virginia with my parents and one older brother. Every summer, we took a vacation for two weeks, usually to Disney World. I spent time with my mother in Girl Scouts, and my dad took me to all my soccer practices and games. My dad has four siblings, each with two kids, and most of them have their own children as well. My brother now lives in Houston with his two kids. Half of my extended family is in Texas, and others are in Michigan, Colorado, and even Paris, France, so we always have fun places to visit family during the holidays.

Our Home
The neighborhood we live in backs up to a beautiful protected forest and has a community center equipped with a pool, splash pad, and park that is just down the street from an elementary school. We are close to a variety of outdoor spaces, the downtown district, and local shops and stores. We live in a cozy four-bedroom, single-story home in a quiet, family-oriented suburban neighborhood. We share our home with our three sweet cats, Taylor, Gatsby, and Boo Boo, who are always ready to play or up for a good cuddle on the couch.
Our Journey to Adoption
When we think about the love we share for each other, we think about our experiences that have shaped not only our relationship but who we are as individuals. Being with each other has led us to being stronger and kinder and has driven us to ensure that we leave a lasting positive impact on those we interact with. We deeply want to share the love we have with a child and empower them to be brave, independent, and a fierce friend. We also want to be able to share the meaningful experiences we have had with each other with our child and show them the wonderful things this world has to offer.
