Dear Birthmom

To the possible mother of our future child, thank you for taking a moment to read our story. We can only imagine the weight of the decision you are facing, and we want you to know how deeply we respect your strength, courage, and love. The care you are showing your baby speaks volumes about the kind of mother you are.

Our hearts are full of gratitude and hope as we write this. Over the past several years, we have had the honor of caring for 13 children through foster care, supporting them and their mothers during some of life’s most challenging moments. Those experiences have shaped us into loving, patient, and present parents.

In August 2024, we welcomed our son, Lincoln, who has filled our home with laughter and joy and shown us the depth of unconditional love. We dream of the day he might become a big brother.

Adoption is deeply personal to us, as Ali was adopted as an infant. Her adoptive mother always said it took two mothers—one who gave her life and one who raised her—to make her who she is today. That belief guides us in honoring you and the story you share with your child.

If you choose us, your baby would grow up surrounded by love, opportunity, and encouragement to be exactly who they are meant to be. Most of all, your child would always know they were chosen, cherished, and deeply loved.

With gratitude and respect,
Ali & Ashley

Our Story

We’re Ali and Ashley! Our story began in 2016 as friends and quickly grew into a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. We’ve been married seven years, and in August 2024 we welcomed our baby boy, who brings us so much joy. We are excited to continue growing our family through adoption and to one day see him become a big brother.

Giving back has always been important to us. Through animal rescue, we’ve helped more than 50 dogs, puppies, and kittens find loving homes. Through foster care, we’ve been honored to provide a safe, nurturing place for 13 wonderful children before they reunited with their families.

We love traveling, spending time outdoors, and tackling home projects together. Ashley is a firefighter and healthcare systems specialist. Ali is a multifamily property manager who enjoys gardening and photography. Together, we’re building a loving, supportive home where children can thrive.

 Our Extended Family

Family is at the heart of everything we do, and we are grateful to be surrounded by large, close, and loving families. Ali has three brothers who are already living the “cool” uncle life. She shares an especially close bond with her mom—they talk daily and love spending time together, especially cooking and sharing meals. Ali’s dad and stepmom enjoy time between Arizona and a lake home in northern Minnesota, a special place where we were married and love to relax during the summer boating, fishing, and making memories.

Ashley also has a very close relationship with her mom, and we treasure time spent together at her cabin in the woods, especially during the winter holidays. Ashley’s dad and siblings live nearby, and her brother and his family live right on our street, providing incredible support and allowing us to spend frequent time with our niece and nephew.

Our families have lovingly supported our foster children, continue to dote on Lincoln and are excited to welcome another child into our family through adoption.

 Our Home

We live in a cozy home on a beautiful piece of land that feels peaceful and country-like, while still part of a welcoming suburban neighborhood full of children. We’re grateful to have family close by and many friends in the neighborhood with young families too! Our home has a large, fenced yard, apple trees, raspberry bushes, and a thriving summer garden. Our school district ranks in the top 5% in Minnesota, and our community offers wonderful parks, splash pads, lakes, and other family-friendly activities.

We share our home with three rescue dogs—Ty, Gabby, and Quinn—and two cats, Otis, a devoted snuggler, and Rocky, our toddler’s best friend. Our home is joyful, inviting, and a safe place we are grateful to call home!

 Our Journey to Adoption

Adoption has always been part of our story, even if the path didn’t lead us here right away. For several years, we were foster parents, opening our home to children who needed safety, love, and stability. While we hoped adoption might grow from foster care, the children placed with us were able to reunite with their families—a beautiful outcome we celebrate. These experiences made our hearts grow, and the desire to expand our family became even clearer.

Adoption is also deeply personal to us, as Ali was adopted as an infant, shaping our understanding of love, belonging, and connection. With the full support of our families, we feel ready and grateful to begin this adoption journey and welcome another child into our home.
