Dear Birthmom

We first want to thank you for taking the time to consider our profile. We can’t even begin to imagine how tough the decisions you currently face are, and we are truly appreciative of your time. It is because of your bravery we may be given the opportunity to expand our family.

We believe everything is meant for a reason. Our experiences through our lives have enabled a clear path to bring us together as a couple and have led us to this very point. We have had many discussions on the possibilities of expanding our family and believe this is the path meant for us. We are a caring, fun-loving, and family-oriented couple with an extensive network of supportive family and friends. We are blessed with wonderful families, careers, and life experiences that will enable us to provide the best role models for your child. We assure you we will do everything in our power to provide a life filled with love, security, traditions, and every opportunity to grow.

Thank you so much for your time and considering us as adoptive parents. We are so excited and grateful for the opportunity to welcome another little one into our lives.

With love and gratitude,
Mark & Natalie

Our Story

After meeting through a mutual friend, we realized we were the perfect complement to each other’s personalities and have spent all of the days since building our life together. Natalie is blessed to have an eight-year-old son, Jonathan, who Mark is proud to call his stepson, and attending his games is the highlight of our week! Our family is at the core of who we are as a couple and how we were raised. Whether it's movie nights with Jonathan and our black Lab, telling jokes, or playing pranks, we strive to make the most of every day. We thoroughly enjoy hosting holidays, birthdays, or even simple Sunday dinners surrounded by friends and family. We are both fortunate to have careers that offer flexibility, which enables a great work/life balance. Natalie is a senior manager, and Mark is a general manager. We always strive to support each other in the success of our careers while maintaining a balanced family life.

 Our Extended Family

We are both truly blessed that our families all live close by, which affords us with the opportunity to see them often. Natalie has a younger brother who has three children, and Mark has two older sisters, with two nephews and three nieces. Both of our parents are celebrating 45+ years of marriage and cannot wait to have more grandchildren. We also believe our close friends are family and even refer to them as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

On both sides, there is a family tradition of vacationing at the beach, and we have combined our families in a new tradition of the Feast of the Seven Fishes at Christmas, hosted at our home. You will always find our parents chatting with each other in the kitchen and the kids organizing baseball or indoor games with each other. Sunday dinners have also always been a staple. Natalie and Jon have an annual mother/son trip with his aunt and cousin where they take day trips to hike or visit museums or new playgrounds.

Family is so essential to who we are and how we live. We are so excited to create more traditions unique to our own family and share the overwhelming love of our extended families.

 Our Home

Our home is in a quiet neighborhood where kids are always out playing and you can find couples walking at night. We have a black Labrador we rescued from the shelter. He is two years old and loves to play with everyone and lay in the sunshine on the back porch. We live in a tight-knit community where all of the local kids are involved in organized activities, community festivals are held around the holidays, and everyone pitches in if there are folks in need. In fact, our neighborhood organized a “turkey bowl” last Thanksgiving that involved parents and kids in flag football games. People brought breakfast, snacks, etc., and even organized a t-shirt to commemorate the event. It was a great way to kick off the holiday!

 Our Journey to Adoption

We are so fortunate to have Jonathan and cannot wait to see him as a big brother. Jonathan was born prematurely and spent his early days in the NICU, with Natalie going each day to care for him. Complications post-delivery have led to it being too risky for Natalie to carry another child. After meeting, we talked extensively about how we could grow our family together as a couple, which has led us to adoption. Mark’s cousin was adopted from Korea when he was a baby, so we have a close connection to adoption. We have discussed with Jonathan how he will become a big brother, and he is extremely excited.
