Dear Birthmom

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are so thankful you’ve taken the time to read about us, and we appreciate you considering us to be a part of your story. We do not know the first thing about how you’re feeling or what you’re experiencing right now. Undoubtedly, the decision you make will be the best thing for your baby. If that decision includes us, we will do everything in our power to ensure your baby is safe, loved, and cared for in the best possible way. We want to understand your wishes for your baby, and we will do our best to honor them.

This decision comes with many unknowns. We are available to talk about anything you’d like and look forward to getting to know you and all of the important things about your life. We know moving forward with adoption will be one of the hardest decisions you will make, and we want to do everything we can to make certain you’re taken care of throughout this process. Your safety and well-being are incredibly important to us, and we hope you’re able to trust us with as much or as little of your story as you choose to share.

We write all of these thoughts with so much love and look forward to meeting you when the time is right!

With love,
Libby and Chris

Our Story

Hi there! We are Libby and Chris. Our life together began when Libby was a freshman in college and Chris was a fifth-year senior. We met at a golf team welcome party, and Libby asked Chris out for ice cream the next day! We’ve been together ever since. Chris proposed to Libby in October of 2016, and we got married in November of 2017. We both played golf in college and continue to play with family and friends to this day. We love to hike with our dogs, travel, hang out at our cabin, and spend time with friends and family. We live in a home that was built in the 1970s and have worked hard to renovate it to make it our own. We love the house and city we live in and plan to stay here for many years to come!

 Our Extended Family

As we mentioned, we are all about family! We talk with at least one family member each day. Chris has an older sister who’s married with three girls. We love to play outside with our nieces and ride four wheelers at his parents’ house. Chris’s family lives about 45 minutes from us, and Libby’s family is about an hour away. We typically see each side of our families three to four times a month.

With no grandkids on Libby’s side of the family, a little one will be welcomed by all, especially Nana and Papa, Libby’s maternal grandparents! We are so thankful to have family close by and cherish all the wonderful time we get to spend with them!

 Our Home

We live in a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home centrally located in a city we love. Our neighborhood is very family friendly; you will almost always see young couples with their kiddos walking their dogs if the weather is nice. We are within minutes of a multitude of parks and outdoor activities, where we often take our two dogs, Ollie and Bruce. They are a huge part of our lives! In addition to our awesome neighborhood, school choices are also fantastic.

 Our Journey to Adoption

We have always wanted to be parents! Libby has never wanted to carry a child, and adoption has always been on her heart. We have a few family friends who have successfully adopted, and we hope to join this community soon! Our families are very supportive and look forward to loving this new member of our family forever and always!
