We have faced many things together, and we knew infertility would not stop us from having a family of our own and sharing our lives with a child. We want you to know we will always provide a good and loving home, surrounded by a loving and close family and dear friends. We are committed to providing your child with great opportunities while always being surrounded by love and wanting for nothing. We are here to support you in this difficult time and will work with you throughout this process at any level you’re comfortable with. We are so thankful for you considering us, and we hope to support you and your baby on this journey.

Our Story

After meeting through a mutual friend in 2007, we have now been married for almost 15 years. Zack is originally from Albany, and Irina is from Russia. Irina is Assistant Dean at a leading university, and Zack is technical program manager supporting the federal government. We love spending our time together. We are an active and outgoing couple who can often be found running road races together on the weekends and spending time with each other along with our cat, Bonya. At home, we enjoy making dinner together and watching movies. We also love going out to eat with friends and family as often as we can. We love to travel, especially New York City as often as we can to see Broadway shows and to go for runs through Central Park.

 Our Extended Family

We have a close-knit family. Zack's parents have been married for almost 45 years; his dad (a retired firefighter) and his mom (a retired high school English teacher) live in Upstate New York, where we get to see them often. Irina’s mother (a retired cardiologist) lives only a few minutes away from us, and we get together often. We all like to come together as a family as often as we can, especially during the summertime and during Thanksgiving each year. We have a tradition where we all go out to dinner to celebrate the start of the holidays. Also, our family has recently built a beach house on the Delaware beach shore that we will be enjoying during the long weekends all year round. Zack also has one older brother who lives in California with his wife and their new baby girl. We cannot wait to add someone new to our family!

 Our Home

We live in a quiet, family-friendly community in northern Virginia with our Russian blue cat, Bonya. Our warm and welcoming, three-bedroom townhouse has become an amazing home for the three of us and is where we hope to raise our family. The neighborhood has seen a large surge in families move in over the last few years, so there are plenty of children around all the time. The local school and plenty of parks are all within a short walking distance of where we live. Our area offers a host of arts and cultural activities, along with plenty of parks and trails to explore. We look forward to sharing our home and community.

 Our Journey to Adoption

We have always wanted children and to have a family of our own since we got married. After a few years of trying and not getting pregnant on our own, we sought help. Unfortunately, after numerous rounds of IVF, we were diagnosed with unknown infertility. We saw that adoption would be the best option for us to start and grow our family. Adoption has opened a new path to changing a life and sharing our home with a child.
