First and foremost, THANK YOU! Thank you for considering adoption. Thank you for considering us. Thank you for this precious gift which makes it possible for us and others like us to realize our dreams of having a family. We can’t begin to imagine how difficult this decision must be, but we are extremely grateful for your courage and selflessness. We have dreamed of carrying a child of our own, but unfortunately, that path did not work out.

Your baby will know and feel so much love from the moment you choose us and our incredibly supportive and excited family and friends. Our families have special traditions, and we can’t wait to include your child and create new traditions of our own. We each have unique personalities and interests that complement one another. Katelyn can’t wait to coach any team they choose to be on, and Callie is excited to introduce the world through books and adventures. Our lives are filled with love, laughter, travel, sports and music, and we are looking forward to sharing that and so much more with your child.

He or she will be encouraged and inspired to pursue their dreams and be their own unique self. We will provide every opportunity possible to make this a reality. Please know that you will not go through this process alone because you will have us. Our Story

Parks and recreation brought us together—not the famous TV show but our actual jobs at a local parks and recreation department! Our first date was to a coworker’s wedding, and now we’ve been married ourselves for over four years. We are both fortunate to have found careers we love. Katelyn is a youth sports coordinator who specializes in teaching kids the fundamentals of sports. She loves to play guitar, write music, and cook. Callie is a marketing executive for a non-profit youth organization. She loves music, concerts, and graphic design. We have a shared love of travel and enjoy exploring new places. We also love all types of games, from card games and our nephews’ Little League games all the way up to professional sports. We consider ourselves super aunts, and we can’t wait to be super moms!

 Our Extended Family

We are incredibly lucky to have both of our entire families less than 20 minutes away, which also means that birthdays, holidays, and celebrations are always spent together. We love being awesome aunts to our six nephews, and they can’t wait to get a new cousin!

Many of our favorite traditions are during Christmas. We love decorating the house, singing Christmas carols as Katelyn plays the guitar, and seeing the lights around the city. Every year our family gets together to bake and decorate hundreds of our “secret family recipe” sugar cookies and deliver them to neighbors and friends. We also look forward to continuing our traditions of going to Mexico every other year with Callie’s family, enjoying season tickets to local sporting events, and cheering on our nephews at their various sporting events and performances. Our families love to have us create fun competitions with brackets, prizes, and bragging rights.

One of our newer family traditions includes gifting experiences rather than exchanging gifts as we love making new memories together. We are so excited to bring your baby into our family, and our friends and family are just as excited to be on this journey with us.

 Our Home

Our home is in a new building located in the heart of a major city. We love being downtown and have many schools, parks, playgrounds, children’s museums, and open spaces within close walking distance. On weekends, we can walk to the farmers market or one of the many community events, cultural celebrations, and festivals held just a few blocks away. There are several young families in our building, and we have ample outdoor space with an open courtyard and large rooftop deck complete with an amazing view of the sunset. We adopted two rescue kittens that are about a year and a half old now. Fenway and Wrigley love lounging in their kitty condo, enjoying the sun and views of the entire city.

 Our Journey to Adoption

We have numerous family members and close friends who have added to their family through adoption, and we have seen how full and happy their lives are. We tried to have a child through IVF but were unsuccessful. After taking the much needed time to heal, we started researching adoption and knew this was the path meant for us. Throughout Katelyn’s childhood, her parents always welcomed youth and teens into their home, either for a meal or to stay as long as they needed. She can hardly remember a day when they didn’t have an extra person or two joining their family. Some of these relationships even grew into adopted family members who remain a part of our lives and even participated in our wedding.
