Dear Birthmom

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us!

We know this has to be a confusing and difficult time for you as you consider your options for your precious baby’s future. We can only imagine the emotions you must be feeling as you search for adoptive parents. We admire the courage and strength it takes to give your baby life. We hope you are not alone on your journey and feel supported.

We want you to know, if you choose us, we will support you and will respect the decisions you make in regard to the future relationship you may have with your child. We promise to provide your child with a loving, accepting, and safe place to call home. Please know that even though we don’t know you, we are praying for you and your baby while you are on this journey.

We can’t wait to see what a child will add to our lives: excitement, laughter, and millions of memories. We want your child to know where they came from and about the amazing woman who made us their parents. We want to embrace your child into our life and share our love by empowering, encouraging, and supporting them throughout their life. We are nervous and anxious but ultimately excited about bringing a precious baby into our lives.

Our Story

We have been married eight years and met at the benefits consulting company where we both work. Zach is a client manager, and Holly is an administrative assistant. Our employer allows us both the opportunity to work from home. Zach likes to golf and loves to play Fantasy Football and watch games on Sunday afternoons. Holly can most likely be found with her nose in a book. She has become really good at multitasking while reading. We love to be together and create small traditions as a couple, such as going out to breakfast on Sunday mornings and taking weekend road trips with our dogs. We are excited for the opportunity to adopt and bring a child into their lives. We look forward to having the opportunity to shower a child with the same love and support we received from our families.

 Our Extended Family

Zach’s parents and sister have a home minutes away, as does his brother. Zach’s parents also have homes in Wisconsin and Florida, and they look forward to taking a grandchild out on the boat to catch his or her first fish and to Disney World to meet Mickey Mouse. Zach’s extended family loves to play games and looks forward to Christmas morning, when they can usually find a new game in their stockings. They all get together for birthdays and board games, and things get quite competitive.

Holly’s parents live about half an hour away, and her sister lives in Texas. Holidays are spent with Holly’s extended family singing “The Twelve Days of Christmas” after Thanksgiving dinner and dressing up with different hats Holly’s mom finds for the different occasions. Even the dogs can be found wearing a headband. Our families are our biggest support system and are excited to go through this journey with us. This would be the first grandchild for Zach’s parents, and Holly’s sister’s kids are young adults, so they are very excited to be able to shower their new grandchild with love and affection.

 Our Home

We live in the same home where Zach spent his childhood. With the help of Zach’s father, we updated the home ourselves before we moved in. We live on a quiet street in a neighborhood that is between the elementary and high school. We look forward to holding hands while walking a child to and from school. We have two dogs, Mugsy and Cece, who constantly keep us entertained. Mugsy is sweet and sensitive and loves to give kisses. Cece is sassy and independent and loves to judge from the back of the couch. They love long car rides so they can stick their heads out of the window. They love little kids and can’t wait until they have their own brother or sister to bring home.

 Our Journey to Adoption

Before we were married, we knew having a child naturally was going to be hard. The early years of our marriage forced us to deal with a number of health issues that required us to give our all to each other. Adoption was always a possibility, but now we know it is definitely life’s plan for the two of us to grow our family. Zach has a younger sister who is adopted from China; she has such a wonderful life because his family opened their hearts by providing the love and stability she may otherwise not have had. There are many things we look forward to, such as walking our child to school, cheering him or her on at Saturday morning activities, and creating lifelong memories.
