Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
Dear Expectant Mother,
We want to begin by acknowledging and thanking you. While we cannot fully understand what this moment feels like, we recognize that the decision you are facing comes with deep emotion, reflection, and an unwavering love for your child. The choice to consider adoption speaks to your strength and the care you have for your child’s future, and we respect that greatly.
As we have thought about becoming parents, we have tried to approach this process with patience and intention. Adoption has long been part of how we envisioned growing our family, and it is something we have come to with openness, hope, and a deep sense of responsibility—not only to a child, but also to their story and to you.
If we are chosen, our commitment would be to raise a child with love, stability, and encouragement. We want them to feel confident in who they are, to be curious about the world, and to know they are supported as they navigate life. We believe in setting clear boundaries while also being a steady and understanding presence.
We are also committed to honoring where they come from. We would speak about adoption and about you with honesty, respect, and care throughout their life, in ways that are thoughtful and appropriate for each stage.
We know this decision is yours, and we respect that fully. Whatever you choose, we hope you feel supported and confident in your path.
With gratitude,
Aaron & Emily

Our Story
Our lifestyle reflects a balance of activity, connection, and curiosity about the world around us. We both have full professional lives, but we are intentional about how we spend our time—making space for experiences that bring us joy and allow us to connect with each other, our friends, and our community.
We love being engaged in the cultural and social life of nearby Dallas, whether that’s attending Mavericks games, concerts at the Arboretum, visiting the Dallas Museum of Art, or seeing Broadway shows. At home, we enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, and hosting friends, including a monthly “Pizza Friday.” Creating a welcoming, relaxed environment is something we both value, and many of our favorite memories are built around shared meals and conversation.
Travel is also an important part of our lives. We were married in San Miguel de Allende and share a love of exploring new places. We are currently planning trips to Barcelona and Germany, and travel continues to shape our perspective and appreciation for different cultures. We look forward to sharing that curiosity and sense of connection with a child.

Our Extended Family
Family and community are at the center of our lives. We are both close with our families, which was a shared value we aligned on early in our relationship. We are fortunate that both of our families live nearby, which allows us to see them often—whether it’s for holidays, casual dinners, or simply spending time together on a Sunday afternoon.
Our families are warm, supportive, and deeply invested in one another’s lives. We believe it’s important to show up for each other—in big and small moments—and that is something we intend to carry forward as parents. A child in our home would grow up surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who are excited to be a part of their life and who will love them unconditionally.
We have a close-knit group of friends, who feel like an extension of our family. Our connections are meaningful, supportive, and filled with laughter.
We look forward to raising a child in a community like this—one that is grounded in love, support, and meaningful relationships. It is important to us that they feel not only our love, but the care of a broader circle that will celebrate them as they grow.

Our Home
Our neighborhood in Texas is both vibrant and peaceful, offering the energy of the city alongside access to nature, outdoor spaces, and a strong sense of community. Our home reflects how we like to live—comfortable, welcoming, and centered around connection. We spend much of our time in shared spaces, whether cooking, hosting friends, or simply unwinding together. It’s important to us that our home feels like a place where people can relax and be themselves, and we hope to create that same sense of warmth and security for a child.
On weekends, we enjoy walking around the lake, exploring local spots, and spending time outdoors, often with our dog, Barry. We love the balance our neighborhood provides and can easily imagine raising a child here—somewhere they feel safe, supported, and free to grow.

Our Journey to Adoption
Aaron is kind, steady, honest, funny, and very smart. Our relationship began as friends and quickly developed into much more. I was very drawn to his light-hearted nature and strong sense of self. He approaches his personal life and our marriage with a lot of self-awareness, openness, and honesty. He is a thoughtful, caring, and very loving partner and I know will bring those same qualities to fatherhood.
Emily is caring, thoughtful, funny, perceptive, hardworking, brilliant, and beautiful inside and out. I’ve always been drawn to her warmth, empathy, and her strength. She brings so much intention, honesty, and emotional awareness into our relationship, and she makes our connection feel both grounded and fresh. Especially given how wonderful of an aunt she is to her niece and nephews, I know she will instill compassion, patience, and confidence to our child/children.
