Dear Birthmom

Dear Expectant Mother,

We want you to know that you have been on our minds and hearts constantly. We may not know you yet, but there are some things we do know about you. For one, you are brave, compassionate, and strong. You are doing what it takes to give your baby the best life possible. We know this process is not an easy one.

If you bless us by making us parents again, we will love your baby with all our hearts, and we will make them the center of our world. We look forward to being there on their best and worst days with compassion and love. We look forward to loving and accepting whoever they grow up to be. They will always have our undying love and support, no matter what! We would love to make you a part of our family if this is something you want. The more people who love a child, the better!

We promise to give them all the love in the world and all the opportunities—from education to travel and experiences—that we can provide, whether it's private schools or yearly trips to Disney, ski trips, cabin trips, boating, and trips to the ocean each year. Travel is important, as you can learn so much more from experiences. We promise to give your child a home full of love and a world full of adventure and happiness.

Thank you for considering us. We truly are grateful.

Love,
Tom and Kennedy

Our Story

Kennedy is kind-hearted, loving, bubbly, and silly. Tom is quick-witted, funny, and outgoing. Tom is an orthodontist. Kennedy is a board-certified behavior analyst with a doctorate in behavioral health. She works with children with special needs, is a published children's author, and works part-time from home—something she loves as it allows her to be with the kids. We both come from families that value education and plan to provide our children with a private education, just as we had. We love to travel, learn new things, and believe that experience is the best teacher. We enjoy time with our friends and family, playing with our dog, Maizey, and watching our toddler daughter grow and thrive alongside our baby. We've always dreamed of a big family and have long known that adoption would help us complete it. We want our children close in age, growing up as best friends—playing, learning, and loving together.

 Our Extended Family

Kennedy's parents have been married for 29 years, and her younger sister, Sophie, is 21. Their family is incredibly close and full of meaningful traditions. They're Disney fanatics and visit several times a year as annual passholders. Every New Year's Eve, they gather for a seafood dinner and board games. We also spend Christmas Eve with this side of the family and stay overnight at Grammy and Papa's house, where the neighborhood hosts a candle walk and sings carols. On Christmas morning, we wake up to find that Santa has come! Papa cooks a big breakfast, and the great-grandparents stay overnight to celebrate. The next day, we gather with our extended family—with whom we're very close—for even more holiday fun. One of our favorite traditions is baking a birthday cake for Jesus. We light candles and let the youngest cousins blow them out together. These holiday moments are some of the most special memories we share and ones we hope to pass down to our children. Sophie lives just 15 minutes away while attending college and comes over weekly for dinner. Family time means everything to us, and we treasure the joy, love, and laughter that fill these moments.

 Our Home

Our home is a beautiful brick home in a family-oriented subdivision, with four bedrooms, a theater area in the finished basement, and a pool where we love to host our friends' children to play (and it's safely fenced, of course). We enjoy picnics by the pool often. Our charming downtown contains several great restaurants, coffee shops, an ice cream parlor, and bakeries. This town is family-centered. There are lots of kids' activities, and family nights fill the summer. Our daughter attends many children's activities in the community, including music, dance, soccer, gymnastics, and swimming. There are lots of families walking their dogs and riding bikes downtown together.

Maizey is our three-year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle mix. She's great with children and super cuddly! We also have a very friendly and loving cat named Frankie.

 Our Journey to Adoption

Kennedy is unable to have any more biological children. We care more about our children being happy and healthy than about having genetic ties. We also realize that love makes a family, not necessarily biology. Kennedy's younger sister, as well as her best friend, were both adopted and have proven to be some of our greatest blessings. Adoption is very close to our hearts, and we are honored to go on this journey. We want our daughters to have a sibling close in age to complete our family.
