Dear Birthmom

Words will never truly be able to describe the gratitude and respect I feel for you. This path you have chosen is so incredibly selfless and I know it is a difficult one.

I am financially stable with a job that allows me to work from home, where I can dedicate time to a child. My village stands with me and is also ready and able to help. Your child will grow up with a sweet dog who I rescued from a local animal shelter. He will be his/her best friend and best protector.

When I felt ready for children, adoption was always my first choice. As this child grows I will fill their world with unconditional love and support. I promise to always be there to guide them and cheer the loudest. I will help them chase their dreams and provide them every opportunity to succeed in their passions. My hope is they always feel safe to be themselves and grow into someone who they are proud to be. I promise to share my family’s love of animals, stories, and food. We will make special memories to last a lifetime.

I will always be eternally grateful to you. I am humbled to even be considered during one of the biggest decisions of your life. I admire the choice you are making and the strength that must accompany it.

With love,
Caitlin

My Story

My biggest hobbies are reading and baking. I have also always been a big reader, since childhood. My parents always read to me when I was young. Stories were never in short supply. We frequented the local library and it is still one of my best memories. Reading formed my imagination and helped me through some difficult times growing up. Now today my love of reading has only deepened. Books fill my house and I am still a frequent visitor to my local library. Reading is still helping me learn new things every day and helps me to connect to the world around me.

Baking is a fairly new hobby but one I so enjoy! I love baking for birthdays and holidays. I love sharing something I made with other people. Seeing the joy it can bring when I share a sweet treat with someone, always brightens my day. I make great Tres Leches Cupcakes!

 My Extended Family

I have a small close family. Small but mighty, I always say! My parents and I are extremely close. They have always been my biggest supporters and cheerleaders. We love having movie nights and eating good food. We are huge Atlanta Braves fans! Christmas is our favorite holiday. We love spending it with my older brother and his family. I have a niece and a nephew. They live in Arizona. Over the holiday we like baking cookies and watching a lot of Christmas movies. My friends are my chosen family. I have two best friends, Alicia and Maria, and they’ve been a part of my support system for years. Alicia, I’ve known since I was child and Maria was my freshman year roommate in college. These two women have been a huge part of my village. Maria gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in 2025. He is a little ray of sunshine and I call him my “baby bestie.”

 My Home

I live in a two story 4 bedroom house with my parents and my dog, Forest. Forest was adopted in 2023 from the local animal shelter. He is great with people and just loves naps and treats! We have a nice yard that is fully fenced and features a stone bench and firepit. We live in an active neighborhood with lots of kids. We live right across from the neighborhood park, which has a playground. Halloween is a big holiday around here, we have tons of trick-or-treaters every year. We love to see the costumes! Our neighbors are great people, very friendly. We live within a couple of miles from schools including elementary, middle, and high schools.

 My Journey to Adoption

A huge part of my life is being a proud Lipan Apache Latina. My mom was born in Juarez, Mexico and her mother (my maternal grandma) was full blooded Lipan Apache. They immigrated to the US when my mom was a toddler. Our indigenous tribe was once told to never tell others who we were so now I shout it from the rooftops.

The biggest way we have shared our culture across generations is our food. My favorite is Chilaquiles. Being Latina means being a part of such a beautiful and big community. Here in Texas, my culture surrounds me. I am proud of where I come from and I’m always excited to share it with others.
