Dear Expectant Mom,

My name is Ericka; I know this may be a difficult decision and I am honored you have chosen to read my profile. I hope you feel supported as you navigate through this important time. I am grateful that you are considering me as an adoptive parent and hope to make this journey as comfortable as possible for you.

My home has a spacious backyard, where I dream of creating an oasis for your child. I also have a son and two loving fur babies who are excited to welcome a little one into our family. My family and friends are also eagerly awaiting this new chapter—many have already begun imagining joyful moments and celebrations with your baby. Please know your child will be surrounded by love from day one.

As a single parent, I have had the privilege of raising my son, who recently graduated college with his bachelor’s degree. Education is very important to me, and I am committed to giving your baby not only a nurturing and supportive home but also opportunities to learn, grow, and confidently navigate the world. If you choose me to care for, love and raise your child, I will be forever grateful for your trust. I am excited about the opportunity and look forward to our next step together.

My Story

In my professional life, as a Senior HR Business Partner, I work with leaders to support strategic planning, talent development, and a positive workplace culture. My role allows me to coach leaders, guide teams, and help create an environment where employees feel valued; work that I find fulfilling.

Outside of work, I love to unwind by playing my favorite video game, spending time in my yard, and enjoying life with my dogs. They’re big, affectionate companions who think they’re lap dogs and bring endless joy to my home. Whether we’re playing in the yard, going for walks, or just relaxing together, they are always close by.

I’m passionate about traveling and exploring new places, cultures, and foods. Traveling inspires me and gives me a broader perspective of the world. It fills me with energy and memories that stay with me long after the trip ends. My weekends are a balance of rest, fun, and new experiences, whether that’s discovering a new restaurant, enjoying time in my yard, or unwinding with a favorite video game.

 My Extended Family

My family includes my dad, my mother, my son, my brother, and my sister. Although we do not live close to one another, we stay connected constantly—I call and FaceTime my parents several times a day just to say hi, check in on their day, or show them something around my house or yard. We also make it a point to get together for major events. I am also blessed with three nephews and one niece. My parents are thrilled at the thought of welcoming another grandchild, and my son is excited about becoming a big brother.

My closest friends—from college—are truly my chosen family. The five of us have shared over 25 years of friendship. We live near one another and enjoy spending holidays, birthdays, and attending our kids’ events together. I am also close with my neighbor, who has two young daughters that have become my little shopping buddies and are frequent playmates for my fur babies. My circle is loving, supportive, and eager to welcome a new addition to our family.

 My Home

I share my home with two sweet Rottweilers, Apache and Chopper—my big, lovable babies who get so excited when neighbors stop by to give them belly rubs. I live in a small suburb just outside a major city, where the neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and filled with families. There’s a playground right in the community and a large city park just minutes away, perfect for outdoor fun. We’re also a short drive from great family activities, including two zoos, a drive‑through safari, water parks, a drive‑in movie theater, and so much more! My home has plenty of room for a growing child, with space for a playroom and a backyard that would be perfect for a playhouse or outdoor adventures.

 My Journey to Adoption

Travel has been one of the great joys of my life, and two of my most memorable journeys were to Bali and Singapore. Bali captured my heart with its rich culture, vibrant markets, and beautiful traditions. I loved trying authentic Balinese food, visiting temples, and learning about the island’s deep spiritual heritage. Singapore offered a beautiful contrast with its modern skyline, diverse neighborhoods, and amazing food—from hawker-center favorites to unique fusion cuisine. Together, these destinations gave me the perfect balance of relaxation, cultural discovery, and culinary excitement.
