Dear Birthmom

We want to begin by saying how much respect and compassion we have for you. We can only imagine how difficult and emotional this season must be, and we recognize the courage it takes to even consider an adoption plan. Please know that we have been praying for you, for wisdom, peace, and comfort as you navigate this decision.

We are a happily married couple who share a deep faith in God and a strong belief that every child is a blessing, lovingly created with purpose. In July 2023, Kelsey experienced a miscarriage at 12 weeks, and since then we have faced challenges conceiving. This journey has been emotional and humbling, and it has strengthened our desire to provide love, faith, and stability to a child through adoption.

If God were to place your child in our care, we would raise them in a home filled with love, grace, and faith. We would teach them about God’s unconditional love and about the courage and strength of their birth mother. You would always be honored, remembered, and spoken of with gratitude, and your role in their life would never be forgotten or minimized.

Above all, we want you to know there is no pressure in these words. We trust that God will guide you in the way that is best for you and your child. Whatever path you choose, we pray you feel supported, valued, and surrounded by love. Thank you for considering us and for the love you already have for your child.

Our Story

Our love story began in an unexpected and meaningful way—through friendship. I first met Robert through his sister, and what started as a simple connection grew naturally over time. As our friendship deepened, we discovered shared values, faith, and a genuine respect for one another. That foundation of friendship became the cornerstone of our relationship and continues to shape the way we love and support each other today.

Our journey together has taken us across several seasons and places. We moved to Kentucky for work, where we welcomed our daughter, Millie, into the world. That chapter taught us so much about partnership, perseverance, and the joy of building a family together. Later, we moved to Alabama to be closer to family, valuing the importance of being surrounded by loved ones during meaningful stages of life.

Ultimately, work led us to Virginia, where we have planted roots and built a life grounded in faith, stability, and community. Each step of our journey has strengthened our marriage and prepared us for the family we are continuing to build together.

 Our Extended Family

We believe children thrive best when they are surrounded by a strong, loving community, and we are deeply grateful for the support network that would be part of our future child’s life. We are already blessed to be parents to our spunky five-year-old daughter, Millie, who is full of joy, curiosity, and kindness. She loves being a helper and talks often about being a big sister, and she would welcome a sibling with excitement, patience, and a genuine desire to love and protect them.

Our families are very involved, and excited to walk alongside us as parents. In addition to family, we share a close-knit friend group made up of six families and nine children who are an important part of our everyday life. These families spend time together regularly through shared meals, celebrations, and holidays. The children grow up side by side, learning friendship, kindness, and cooperation, while the adults support one another through every season of life.

Our church community emphasizes faith, compassion, service, and strong moral values, and offers mentorship, encouragement, and meaningful relationships. Our future child would be surrounded by people who are deeply invested in their growth, faith, and well-being.

 Our Home

We live in Virginia in a close-knit community that offers a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for raising a child. It blends small-town charm with strong family values, quality schools, and abundant outdoor spaces where families can grow together. Our adopted child would attend a Christian school, where education is rooted in faith, character development, and academic excellence. Our home is also filled with love from our three dogs—Daisy, a schnauzer mix; Doug, a soft-coated wheaten terrier; and Dudley, a cavapoo—who add joy, comfort, and a playful spirit to everyday life. Raising a child here means being surrounded by faith, community, and a true sense of belonging.

 Our Journey to Adoption

One of the things I love most about Robert is his hardworking and dependable nature. He approaches every challenge with dedication and care, whether it’s for our family, his work, or those he loves. His steadfastness gives me confidence and comfort, and I admire the integrity he brings to everything he does.

Robert often says I’m the funniest person he knows—he even mentioned it in his wedding vows! We love how laughter fills our home, and we can always make each other smile, even on the hardest days. Our sense of humor and lightheartedness bring balance to our relationship.

Together, we value each other’s strengths, respect our differences, and support one another unconditionally. The love, laughter, and partnership we share make every day better, and it strengthens the foundation of the family we are building together.
