Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
Words cannot express the admiration we have for you in considering this path. We know that as an expectant mother, nothing about this journey is “easy,” and we deeply respect the choices you are already making in the interest of your baby. We would be incredibly grateful to be trusted with the opportunity to become your child’s parents, and we promise to provide a life rooted in family, love, kindness, empathy, and joy.
Growing our family through adoption is something we have dreamed about for many years, and we truly believe we are meant to be parents. Nothing will matter more to us than your baby’s wellbeing - physically, emotionally, and in every way that shapes who they become. Should you choose us, your child will always know unconditional love and acceptance, and they will be cherished as the most important part of our family.
We also view adoption as a chance to expand our family by including you, if you wish. If you prefer an open adoption with annual visits, contact, and updates, we would welcome that wholeheartedly. If you prefer a closed adoption, we respect that as well, and are open to anything in between. We know this journey can be filled with difficult emotions, and while we can never fully understand what only another birth mother can, we are committed to supporting you in this journey. Regardless of your choice, we wish you nothing but the best.
With love and gratitude,
Sadie and Emmet

Our Story
We met in 2015 and married in 2020. We’ve done a lot of traveling throughout our relationship, which is one of our favorite things to do. We’ve been to over a dozen states together and have taken many cruises in the Caribbean. Our favorite trips have been to Savannah, GA where we spent our honeymoon and have visited annually since, a Caribbean cruise we went on with Sadie’s parents where we got to swim with pigs and spent hours snorkeling, and our road trip from Wisconsin to Colorado where we got engaged in 2016!
Aside from traveling, we spend most of our free time with family and friends. Emmet enjoys playing pool, darts, and golf and is often working on different projects around the house. Sadie enjoys drawing, cooking, anything related to sports, and acting as an amateur comedian for anyone willing to listen. Together, we can often be found at the beach, playing board games, building lego sets, riding our bikes around the neighborhood, or binge-watching one of our favorite shows.

Our Extended Family
We are incredibly fortunate to have a large, loving network of family and friends. Sadie is the oldest of seven and remains very close with her parents, siblings, niece and nephew, and grandparents in the Midwest. Emmet grew up with one sister who now lives just minutes away with her husband and their three children. We spend most weekends with our local niece and nephews - cheering at dance competitions and baseball games, visiting theme parks, or hosting sleepovers. We’re also very close to Emmet’s parents, whom we see weekly, as well as his large extended family.
Alongside family, we have a tight-knit group of friends both nearby and across the country. Some of our favorite traditions include Christmas breakfast at Emmet’s grandparents’ house, where everyone wears pajamas, the kids play silly holiday games, and we exchange white elephant gifts. Each year we also travel to Wisconsin to visit family and to North Carolina to celebrate the birthday of two of our closest friends’ children. And our annual week-long beach trip with Emmet’s family is always a highlight. Our families and friends are all excited and ready to welcome a new little one into these traditions and memories.

Our Home
Our 3bd/2ba single-story home sits in a quiet farming community in central Florida, with a spacious fenced yard perfect for play. We share our home with our two spoiled but sweet cats, Laverne and Shirley, who are wonderful with kids. We love neighborhood bike rides and walks, and there are three playgrounds nearby, surrounded by young families. We’re also close to great activities: 30 minutes from the aquarium, 45 from the zoo, and about an hour from the beach and theme parks. Each spring our town hosts a week-long festival with rides, games, and entertainment and we can’t wait to take a kiddo! Several schools are within 10 minutes, though we hope to enroll our future child in a Montessori school 25 minutes away.
Our Journey to Adoption
We have always considered adoption, but we officially decided on building our family through adoption after coming to the realization that the path to becoming parents isn’t linear for everyone. Sadie, while very maternal, has never felt the need to experience pregnancy which prompted us to embark on this journey.
We’ve spent the last 10 years building a life that is centered around family and have always known that no matter how it came to be, we are meant to be parents. We have a very stable home, loving relationship, and financial stability creating a solid foundation on which to build our family. We’ve built a very beautiful life and cannot wait to share it with and center it around our future child!
