Our love story begins in the fall of 2020 when we met at a church in Alabama. We soon became friends while spending time together in various church groups. In 2021, a whirlwind of events brought us from friends to engaged: from getting to know each other better at a birthday party in August, to an Auburn football game in September where we began to see how much fun we had together, to a lunch date in October where Paige told Ben all about her recent mission trip. At this point, we knew we shared faith, values, and dreams for the future- and that we had fun together! In other words, the fall of 2021 is when we fell in love. In November, we decided to get married, and Ben proposed in early December. We married a month later, on January 8th, 2022. Having our friendship as the foundation of our love has made our marriage sweet, and we love the adventures of building our life and our family together, wherever that may take us!

Ben’s parents are Karen and Jim, and he has three siblings. At Christmas time, we like to travel to New York for a big family reunion and Christmas celebration. We play silly “olympic” games, go sledding, and make gingerbread cookies. Karen and Jim love to visit us throughout the year for a few weeks at a time.

Paige’s parents are Ashley and Jimmy, and she has one sister. Every Christmas, Paige’s parents buy a unique ornament from Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland in Michigan for each of us. Ben likes to write the year on each ornament so at Christmas we can look back on the ornaments from past Christmases. When Jimmy and Ashley visit us, Jimmy religiously sings our boys the ABCs and tells them, “Go Lions!”

We love to spend time with our local friends making homemade pizza, playing frisbee, or walking (and playing) in the park. Several of our friends have small children who love to play with Jack and Callan. It's fun to see our sons looking up to our friends as role-models. We also love to visit friends who are far away. Soon we’ll be travelling to Minnesota, Texas, and Louisiana to visit friends.

Our home in Alabama holds a special place in our hearts as the town where we met, fell in love, and got married. We love the small-town-feel, we’re enjoying getting to know our neighbors, and we like to take walks or bike rides around our suburban neighborhood. Our church is only about a five minute drive from our home, which is a blessing because we like to participate in church events regularly. Our home is a great place for children to learn and play. Our playroom has stacks of books, bins of legos, trains, cars, and puzzles. Jack and Callan enjoy having space to roam in our backyard where they also like to use the playset and swings.

Our family loves traveling and making our everyday life full of adventure. We began our marriage in Alabama, and within 6 months, packed up and moved to South Korea for three years! There we had our two sons, Jack and Callan, which was an adventure in itself. While we were in Korea, we explored the country and we took an amazing vacation to New Zealand. We spent that trip driving an RV from the top of the country to the bottom- we explored caves, toured native and geothermal communities, took boat tours around incredible coastal cities, and camped at some of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen. New Zealand is our favorite place we have ever visited.
