We are Alex and Kyle. We’ve been together 7 years strong, and we are eager to take the next step in our relationship and family. We’ve both known for a long time that we wanted to grow our family through adoption, and we would be honored to be considered.
Alex comes from a large family and has always known she wanted to be a mother; to her, family means safety, grace, and abundant support. Kyle had a difficult childhood, and attributes a lot of his personal growth to his friends and mentors that opened their homes to him. Both of us strongly believe that a family consists of who you choose to love; those who show up for you, stand by you, support you, prove to you that they will be there for you no matter what. We are committed to showing that love to your child every day, and we promise to provide a safe, structured, happy, and loving home for them.
We understand that adoption is a deeply personal decision, and we truly appreciate your consideration. We will honor and cherish the gift of a child, and invite you both to become a part of our family.

Our Story
Both of us enjoy indulging in our nostalgia, from movies, to stories, to video games and simple pleasures. We want the magic and wonder we experienced when we were young to be an experience we share with our child.
Kyle has always been a fan of comics and video games, and his collections are his most prized possessions. He also enjoys at-home projects, one of the most notable being our backyard greenhouse, in which he grows vegetables he likes to give as gifts.
Alex is a big fan of art, animation, and tabletop games. She’s been an artist ever since she was young, drawing and writing her own stories, and loves to experience other stories in film and print. She also enjoys both video- and tabletop games, which is one of her favorite pastimes with friends and family alike.

Our Extended Family
Our family, friends, and pets are just as excited as we are to welcome a child into our home.
We are located in southeast Minnesota, which is close to a lot of Alex’s family, including her parents Barb and Will, brother Zack, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles. Every major holiday was spent with one or both sides of the family, and as a result her family is incredibly tight-knit.
Kyle’s family is largely located in South Carolina, including his mom Juanita, grandmother/“Nana” Judy, father Calvin, brothers Austin and Travis, and his niece & nephews. We visit them as often as we can, and they send their love and support from afar.
We have a network of close friends, several of which are parents themselves. Kyle’s friend Chase and Alex’s friend Katie, our best man and maid of honor respectively, are also excited to be supportive presences in our child’s life.

Our Home
We currently live in Minnesota in a largely cozy suburb city. Within our home we have our dogs CB & Tina, our cats Keanu & Kovu, our lizard Cass, and our koi fish Nugget & Autumn. We get a wide variety of seasons and plenty of opportunities for family outings: snowy winters, lakeshores and log cabins in the summers, bike trails and parks to enjoy with our dogs in any weather. Our neighborhood has its own school systems and plenty of family events, including a Christmas train, Fourth of July fireworks, and a small summer festival. Alex is excited to bring the family to places she enjoyed in her Minnesota childhood, such as the Science Museum, Mall of America, Children’s Theatre, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Target Field, and more!
Our Journey to Adoption
We first met back around 2015, when Kyle ran his own hobby game store. Alex joined a few events during that year, but it was only when Kyle started up a Dungeons & Dragons campaign for new players that we were really able to bond over a shared love of gaming. After a few years and having to leave the store behind, we took a chance at a relationship, and over the years slowly grew our home, pet count, and careers. In 2021, we moved into our home, knowing it would be the place we’d want to raise our family. In 2023, we got married at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival Fairgrounds, and went all out in our fantasy-medieval theming. We took our dream honeymoon to Japan the next year, the biggest adventure we’ve taken to date. Now, we are most excited for our next adventure of growing our family.
