Dear Birthmom

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and learn about us. We can only imagine how many emotions you may be feeling right now, and we want you to know how deeply we respect the strength and love it takes to consider adoption. The decision you are facing is incredibly difficult, and we honor you and your baby as you walk through this moment.

Our journey to adoption grew from a strong desire to build our family and share the life and love we have created together. Along the way, we learned that family is not defined only by biology, but by commitment, care, and devotion. While this process has required patience and vulnerability, it has also filled our hearts with hope.

We already have so much respect for the love you have for your baby. If chosen, we promise to provide a safe, nurturing home filled with encouragement, laughter, and unconditional love. We would raise your child knowing how deeply they were loved from the very beginning and how courageous you are.

As we look toward the future, we feel hopeful and grateful. Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents and for the care you are putting into this decision. No matter what you choose, we wish you peace, strength, and comfort.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Taylor & Lorey

Our Story

Our day-to-day life is built around a steady, balanced routine that allows us to stay grounded and connected. During the week, we focus on our work responsibilities and maintaining a predictable schedule, which gives our days structure and purpose. We value consistency and make time each evening to check in with one another.

Weekends are our time to slow down and enjoy being together. We like to work out as a team, play video games, and spend time at home with our dogs and cat, who are very much part of our family. Whether it’s relaxing on the couch or enjoying a quiet morning, we appreciate the simple moments.

We are intentional about nurturing our relationship and make it a priority to have a weekly date night, no matter how busy life gets. Each year, we also plan a vacation to a new destination, which gives us something to look forward to and allows us to experience new places together.

Overall, our lifestyle is calm, supportive, and centered on quality time, balance, and shared experiences.

 Our Extended Family

Family and community are at the heart of our lives, and our future child will be surrounded by a strong, loving support network. We are grateful to have close and deeply connected relationships with our immediate and extended families.

Taylor’s parents are retired and live in Florida near Disney, making visits especially fun and full of adventure. Taylor grew up in a family where holidays centered around food and togetherness, and she proudly continues that tradition by preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals each year. These gatherings are filled with laughter, shared stories, and a strong sense of belonging.

Lorey’s parents live about three hours away in North Carolina and plan to move closer so they can be more involved in our daily lives. They are deeply supportive and value family traditions, quality time, and staying connected. We look forward to more frequent visits and shared holidays together.

We are connected to extended military family through the South Carolina Army National Guard and the Coast Guard Reserve, which has created a strong sense of community, service, and lifelong friendships.

Together, this network will provide our child with love, stability, guidance, and a deep sense of belonging from the very beginning.

 Our Home

Our home is a warm, peaceful place designed with family in mind. We built it in 2025, and it has four bedrooms and plenty of space to grow, play, and gather. The house sits on eight acres in a quiet, rural neighborhood, giving us room to enjoy nature, privacy, and outdoor time. We have a pool where we look forward to making memories together.

Our family includes two dogs and a cat, Palmer and Ava, and Ebby, who have been with us for over a decade and are gentle, loving companions. Just five minutes away is a community park with a playground, and we are a close drive to Clarks Hill Lake, where we enjoy being outdoors. We plan to grow a vegetable garden and have apple and peach trees

 Our Journey to Adoption

What we love most about each other is our shared commitment to service, integrity, and caring for something greater than ourselves. Taylor joined the South Carolina Army National Guard at just 19, demonstrating courage, discipline, and a deep sense of responsibility early in life. Her service has taken her across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and demonstrates her strength, resilience, and compassion shaped by those experiences.

Lorey joined the Coast Guard Reserve at 34, answering the call to serve later in life with the same selflessness and dedication. Her service stateside reflects her steady leadership, reliability, and commitment to protecting and supporting others.

Together, our military service represents years of sacrifice, teamwork, and giving back to our country. We admire in each other a strong sense of purpose, respect, and unwavering support, qualities that guide how we love, partner, and hope to parent.
