Dear Birthmom

We would like to express how grateful we are for you. Your courage and selflessness is admirable. We know this decision didn’t come easy for you, and we have the utmost respect for the strength and love you have for your child. We promise to love your child as our own, please know that your love will always be a part of your child’s story. We promise to give your child a home full of warmth, love, and a soft place to land.

In 2018, for six short months, we had the incredible honor of caring for our niece and nephew. The impact they made on our lives was truly astounding. They brought us purpose, laughter, and so much joy. Every night they went to sleep knowing they were deeply loved and cherished.

Those six months changed everything for us. We knew, without a doubt, that becoming parents — hearing little feet running across the floor and the sound of giggles filling our home — was our greatest dream.

For ten years, we hoped and prayed for that dream to come true. Our journey through infertility was filled with love, heartache, and tears — but ultimately, it brought us clarity. Through prayer and reflection, we felt God’s gentle guidance leading us toward adoption.
We have so much love to give, both to you and to your child. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for considering us to be part of your story.

Fondly,
Casey and Courtney

Our Story

We’re high school sweethearts who met in a driver’s education class after school. The class was three hours long every Thursday, and we begged our parents to let us skip it — little did we know that walking into that room would change our lives forever. We sat next to each other, teased and laughed our way through class, and before long, we fell in love. On February 12, 2012, we officially began our journey together.

Our high school years were filled with movies, friends, proms, and fall formals — we were truly inseparable.

Fast forward to May 2, 2015, when we said “I do” and began our forever together. Since then, we’ve built a happy little life with just the two of us and our two dogs while we’ve prayed for the sound of tiny feet to join our home. We can’t wait to see what the future holds and what blessings are yet to come.

 Our Extended Family

Family means everything to us, and we’re blessed to have such a large and loving one!
Courtney’s family includes her mom and dad, along with three brothers. On her side, we’re lucky to have six nephews and three nieces who fill family gatherings with laughter and joy. Casey’s family includes his mom and stepdad, two half sisters, and his dad and stepmom, along with two half brothers. Altogether, we’re surrounded by six wonderful grandparents who can’t wait to share their love and wisdom.

Casey’s side of the family is eagerly awaiting their first grandchild, and we would be overjoyed to share that special moment with them. Courtney’s family may already have nine grandkids, but their hearts are wide open — they would love nothing more than to welcome and spoil another little one, just as they have the rest!

We cherish our time together, whether it’s Sunday dinners after church, painting pumpkins in the fall, or taking weeklong trips to the beach. This year, we’re adding a new memory by spending time in the mountains before Christmas. We love creating new traditions while holding onto the ones from our childhood that mean so much to us.

 Our Home

We live in a small town in Kentucky, the same place we’ve called home our entire lives. Our house sits in the country, surrounded by peaceful farmland and close-knit family. Casey’s mom and stepdad live just behind us near the lake, and his grandparents are right down the road. We love having them so close — it only takes a few minutes to visit, share a meal, or lend a hand.

We’re proud to live in the same school district where Casey grew up, and we look forward to watching our future child experience the same wonderful sense of community. Though our town may be small, it’s full of heart — from the annual Christmas parade to the county fair, there’s always something to celebrate and neighbors to enjoy it with.

 Our Journey to Adoption

We love the simple things — even just a car ride together feels special. Whether it’s a quick trip into town or taking a random road to see where it leads, we enjoy every moment. But our favorite adventures are the ones that take us a little farther from home, especially our trips to Gulf Shores.

We love sightseeing along the way, hunting for seashells and shark teeth in the sand, and walking along the beach as the sun rises or sets over the water. And Casey always finds time for a fishing excursion or two, while I either tag along or explore little spots I’ve researched before the trip.

In May, we celebrated our 10-year anniversary with a quiet getaway to Kentucky Lake. We spent four days fishing, enjoying local cuisine, and taking drives to sightsee. It was a peaceful, relaxing weekend — and a reminder of how much we love doing life together.
