Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
Dear Expectant Mom,
My name is Katyna, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. First, I want to express my gratitude for your thoughtful consideration in choosing who could parent your child. Second, I want to share how eager I am to begin this journey—it’s been long overdue, but I am finally ready.
On a positive note, I am now a homeowner, have earned my doctorate, and built a stable career. I have an abundance of love to give and am at a point in my life where I can focus solely on motherhood. I will be a single but mature parent, and I look forward to bringing home a baby—boy or girl. Some parents may have a preference, but I only want to be a mom. I want to assure you that I will love this child unconditionally and give them all that I have.
As a single parent, they will have my full love, devotion, and every resource I can provide. I can only imagine the emotions you’re feeling as you read this letter, knowing the significance of the decision you face in choosing the life and parent you want for your child. I hope my words reflect the care, devotion, and love I am ready to give. If chosen by you, your child will truly be my everything.
With gratitude,
Katyna

My Story
My friends and family often tell me they admire my devotion and the way I care for those I love. One of my cousins has shared that he sees my caring nature and patience shine, especially in how I’ve supported my mother and worked gracefully with doctors and staff at her long-term care facility. A church friend once told me that she believes I’m one of the most caring people she knows. She’s seen my love for children and the way I speak to them—making them feel valuable, seen, and heard. She also describes me as caring and intuitive. I think everyone who knows me would say I’m “ride or die”—a devoted person who gives wholeheartedly and unconditionally. When I love, I give my all, and I will always show up for the people in my life.
My Extended Family
My family includes my mother, one sister, and one brother who all live close by, along with a cousin just three blocks away. I am also blessed with a large and supportive church family. My mother will be overjoyed to welcome a grandchild, and my brother is excited to add a niece or nephew to his growing family of grandchildren—he has eight already! He often plans our family gatherings at his home, where we enjoy his pool and grill area. I also have two sisters in another state who look forward to spending holidays with us and meeting the little one each year. My church, where I’ve been a member for 24 years, provides loving programs for children of all ages—from infants to teens. One tradition I look forward to continuing is celebrating Christmas together with matching pajamas, opening gifts at midnight, and gathering again for Christmas dinner the next day. It’s a tradition I cherished as a child, and one I’m excited to carry on with my own family.
My Home
live in a safe, welcoming community that’s perfect for raising a child. Our neighborhood includes a residents-only pool, several nearby parks, and recreation centers offering activities for children of all ages. My home has plenty of space for a growing child, with room to play, explore, and later, to learn and study. The local school district offers excellent options, including Montessori schools and two charter schools specializing in STEM and the Arts. I would love to one day provide the opportunity for a private education as well. The area is filled with family-friendly activities—bike paths, local events, and a nearby lake for outdoor fun. There are also exciting places like trampoline parks and indoor skydiving just a short drive away. It’s a quiet, peaceful community with endless opportunities for adventure, learning, and fun—both inside and outside the neighborhood.
My Journey to Adoption
I am a biracial African American woman who respects all cultures while deeply loving and honoring my own. I was raised to value faith, integrity, devotion, and hard work—principles that continue to guide my life today. One of my most treasured keepsakes is a cookbook I created with my mom as a child, which I still add recipes to now. If I adopt a minority child, I will ensure they grow up knowing who they are, where they come from, and what makes them unique. More than anything, I know how to teach love, and I believe that is the foundation of every culture and heritage. Family comes first, and whoever becomes my child will receive everything I have to give. I will pour my love, devotion, and protection into them forever.
