Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
Dear Expectant Mother,
We can only imagine how difficult and emotional this moment is for you, and we want to start by saying thank you — thank you for your strength, and for the love you're showing your baby by exploring every possible path for their future.
Our journey to adoption has been full of reflection, hope, and a deep desire to grow our family. Though we don't yet know you, we already hold so much love in our hearts for the child we hope to welcome. We understand that adoption begins with loss, and we want you to know that we will always honor your role in this child's life. If you choose us, your child will grow up knowing that their story began with your courage and love.
We promise to provide a safe, joyful, and nurturing home — one filled with laughter, learning, support, and the freedom to grow into whoever they are meant to be. More than anything, we want to raise a child who feels deeply loved, not just by us, but by the village of family and friends ready to support them.
We are so grateful you're taking the time to read this and consider us. Whatever decision you make, we wish you strength, peace, and love in the days ahead.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Leah and Chad

Our Story
Our days are a balanced mix of work, family, and fun. Leah is a home health and hospice nurse with a flexible schedule, allowing her to be present for the family throughout the week. Chad owns and operates a food truck, giving him control over his hours and the flexibility to adjust as needed. Together, we handle school drop-offs and pick-ups and stay actively involved in our children’s activities and interests. Evenings often include family game nights in our large game room or relaxing in the pool and hot tub—moments that bring us closer together.
Weekends are spent enjoying Vermont’s beautiful outdoors. We love skiing in the winter, boating and watersports in the summer, riding our horses, and visiting local farms and markets. Hosting friends and family for backyard cookouts and seasonal traditions—like cutting our own Christmas tree—are moments we cherish. Our active, nurturing lifestyle is filled with love, providing a warm, stable environment for a child to grow and thrive.

Our Extended Family
We are lucky to be surrounded by a strong, loving support system — and even more fortunate that a future child will be welcomed not only by us, but also by two older siblings who are already excited to share their love and experiences.
Our family is rooted in New England, where we cherish the changing seasons, small-town traditions, and time outdoors. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all live within driving distance and play an active role in our lives. They are wholeheartedly supportive of our adoption journey and can’t wait to welcome another child into the family.
We’re also part of a close-knit circle of friends — many with young children — who feel like extended family. From cutting our own Christmas tree each winter to our annual summer vacation in Maine, we love creating memories together all year long.
Above all, we want our child to grow up knowing they are part of something bigger — a community overflowing with love, joy, and unwavering support.

Our Home
Our home in rural Vermont is calm and peaceful, with neighbors who know each other by name. We live on 13 acres, offering plenty of space for adventure and play. Our spacious house has a cozy room ready for a baby and a large family game room where we gather to laugh and make memories. Outside, we enjoy a pool for sunny summer days and a hot tub for relaxing on cool evenings.
We share our home with three friendly dogs, two gentle horses, and a flock of chickens — all great with kids. While we love our quiet country life, we’re within easy driving distance of cities like Boston and Portland. Our community offers excellent schools,, ensuring your child grows up safe, loved, and inspired.

Our Journey to Adoption
One of the things we love most about each other is how we balance and support one another. Leah’s compassion and calm presence ground our family. As a nurse, her kindness shines every day—she’s patient, nurturing, and makes everyone feel cared for. Chad’s creativity and determination inspire us. His passion for running his food truck and his problem-solving skills keep life moving forward with energy and joy. He’s warm, dependable, and always ready with a joke or a hug.
Friends and family often say they admire our teamwork, kindness, and sense of humor. They tell us our home is welcoming and full of love and laughter. Together, we bring out the best in each other—and we can’t wait to share that same love, joy, and support with a child.
