Dear Birthmom

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us. We’re truly honored that you’re considering us as potential adoptive parents for your child. We know this is such a big and emotional decision, and we want you to know how much we respect the thought and care you’re putting into it. It’s not something anyone takes lightly, and we recognize the weight of what you’re navigating. We’re deeply grateful for the chance to be part of this process and to share a little about ourselves with you.

If we’re fortunate enough to be chosen, we would be overjoyed to welcome your child into our lives. We’re excited to grow our family and create a home filled with love, laughter, and plenty of snuggles. We promise to provide a safe, supportive environment where your child can thrive and always feel surrounded by unconditional love. Thank you again for considering us. Whatever path you choose, we sincerely wish you clarity, peace, and comfort as you move forward.

Our Story

One of our favorite memories was traveling to Javea, Spain for Kyle’s brother’s wedding. We began the trip in Ireland at Kyle’s mom’s house, then headed to Spain, where we stayed in a beautiful mountain Airbnb with a pool, surrounded by family—nine adults and four kids. Mornings started with coffee and breakfast together before swimming, playing games, and enjoying fresh bread from a nearby shop. We explored the town, relaxed on the beach, visited a vineyard, and even found a cozy coffee shop that roasted its own beans. The kids put on the cutest talent show, and we befriended the neighborhood cats, who quickly became part of the fun. Evenings were spent cooking and sharing incredible meals—sushi, paella, and more—around a big table full of laughter and stories. It was the kind of trip we’d happily relive again and again.

 Our Extended Family

Amber’s family is very close, with both immediate and extended relatives living just minutes apart. She sees her aunts and cousin regularly—usually once a week—for fun outings like antique shopping, farmers markets, flower shops, or even bingo nights. She also talks with her mom and sister often and gets together with them whenever she can.

Kyle’s family is spread out across Ireland, England, Scotland, and New York, but staying connected is always a priority. We gather at least once a year for a family vacation and have made amazing memories traveling to Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Punta Cana, and even right here in Wisconsin. Kyle talks with his mom every day, and we have weekly video calls with the whole family, which keeps us close despite the distance.

We’re lucky to have four nieces and one nephew so far, and we’re excited for the possibility of more little ones joining the family. We also have a wonderful circle of friends nearby, many with young children—and more on the way—so we’re looking forward to playdates and watching the kids grow up together.

 Our Home

e live in a cozy three-bedroom, two-bath home in Wisconsin, with a big fenced yard that our two rescue dogs, Atlas and Maevis, absolutely adore. They’re both 7 years old, and our two cats, Loki and Little Kitty—whom Amber has had since they were kittens—are 10 and always ready for snuggles and treats.

Our neighborhood is just a short walk from the Boys and Girls Club and has a charming small-town vibe, with great coffee shops, bakeries, and weekend farmers markets. In the winter, we love spending time at the local ice rink, where you can skate, sip hot chocolate, and roast s’mores. It’s a warm, welcoming community that truly feels like home.

We’re so excited to raise a family here, surrounded by the people (and pets!) we love.

 Our Journey to Adoption

Adoption has always been an important part of Amber’s life. She and her sister were both adopted as infants, and Amber feels deeply grateful for the love, stability, and opportunities adoption has given her. She had a few visits with her birth mom when she was very young and reconnected with her again at 18. Over the years, she has also gotten to know her birth siblings. Those relationships have been meaningful and have only deepened her gratitude for the family and life she was given through adoption.

Adoption is also part of Kyle’s story. He grew up alongside three cousins who were adopted—two from Romania and one from Ethiopia —and has many fond memories of summers spent with them at the beach. As he and Amber have begun their own adoption journey, Kyle has often talked with his cousins, and their encouragement and perspective have meant so much to him.
