Dear Birthmom

Dear Expectant Mother,

We have been thinking deeply about the journey we're considering—the path toward growing our family not by biology, but by heart, by intention, and by love. Though we may not know each other yet, we can already see the qualities of a wonderful person. Your patience, selflessness, and most importantly, bravery—all shine through in your incredibly difficult decision. We know that this difficult decision comes with a profound amount of trust.

We promise to keep your child's heart connected to their story and to provide them with a home where they will be cherished, where their identity will be honored, and where they will always know they are safe. Adoption is a powerful act—a walk into the unknown, not with fear, but with hope and courage. We want to take that journey with you.

We don't expect either of us to be perfect. We'll have doubts, questions, and surely challenges, but we will lead with love, kindness, and a commitment to our growing family. We love the idea of holding your hand through this next chapter, of being co-creators of a life that is chosen, cherished, and full of meaning. We'd love to keep dreaming, planning, and preparing together—one step at a time, with all the love in the world.

With love,
Michael & Dominic

Our Story

We first met online in the summer of 2020, and after communicating for approximately two weeks, we ultimately decided that it was time to officially meet in person. We planned a date to meet at Sharrott Winery in August. After six months of dating, we moved in together and began planning our future. A year later, I decided the time was right to propose. I had my sister-in-law set up a Christmas photo shoot for us at a winery, and on the lighted bridge, decorated with garland and ribbon, I got down on one knee and asked Michael to spend the rest of his life with me. Fast forward to 2024, and it was officially time to say "I do." We got married at the Ashford Estate on September 27, 2024. It was a beautiful thirty-acre estate that boasted Gatsby vibes and was filled with everyone who loved us for who we are and who were truly there to celebrate our love. Our marriage continues to blossom and is ready to officially take the next step: parenthood.

 Our Extended Family

Family has always been, and will always be, very important to both of us. From birth to now, we are both extremely close to our families, and they continue growing closer as we continue to blend them together. We love to host holidays at our home, having everyone come and spend time together. We like to think of our house as the central hub for everyone to come and feel not only at peace, but most importantly at home.

Family, to us, isn't just about blood. Our friends are also ones we consider a part of our family. They are people we get to choose, trust, and love being around. We have, what we would like to think, is one of the strongest support networks we know. Our child will grow up around successful, independent, and intelligent people who will pass down important values and insights to them.

Both families have woven traditions—such as the Italian seven-fish dinner, holiday baking, and large summer BBQs—into our lives, and we will continue them through our child. We have lived, and will always live, by the motto: "Family is forever."

 Our Home

With our relationship growing, we knew that we wanted to eventually grow our family too, and with that thought in mind, we began our home-shopping journey that eventually led us to what is now our forever home. We purchased this five-bedroom, four-bathroom home in 2021 in one of the fastest-growing and up-and-coming towns in all of southern New Jersey. Along with a town booming with modern restaurants, family-owned bakeries, and boutiques, we have access to some of the top school districts in the entire state. Our backyard has ample space and is privately fenced with more than enough room to add a playset and swimming pool for our child to play in and let their imagination run wild.

We have three dogs who mean the absolute world to us: an English Bulldog named Aurora who is 7, a Labrador Retriever named Fonzie who is 3, and a French Bulldog named Dolce who is 1. Needless to say, our child will grow to love animals!

 Our Journey to Adoption

Of the many adventures we have taken together, our first trip ever—a trip to Boston, Massachusetts—was actually our favorite. We both longed to visit Boston and finally decided to make it a reality by taking a road trip there and staying in a hotel that was formerly an 1850s jail built by one of the greatest architects of that time. We spent our time biking through the city, learning about its history, tasting some of the most incredible meals, but most importantly, bonding and making memories. It was on that trip that we knew we wanted more in life together. We wanted to travel the world, visit new places, learn, and experience all the wonders life has to offer.
