Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
Dear fellow mama,
Allowing us to raise your baby as our own is an honor. I hope that with whatever it is you are facing, we can be there to give you comfort in knowing that your daughter is going be loved and taken care of beyond measure. She will always know her story and who she came from. We will talk about you often and express our love and gratitude when we do so that she too will grow up knowing and loving you too.
This process is overwhelming and quite honestly scary at times. I find that we often have to repeat our mantra that our baby is out there and she will find her way to us somehow. We know that once she is placed in our arms a piece of you will be coming home with us too. We will forever honor that and are so deeply grateful that the words don’t seem big enough. Your baby will know unconditional love. She will be surrounded by laughter, support, and endless hugs and kisses and “I love you’s”. She will be read to at night and sung to in the car. We will give her every opportunity to grow and learn and explore and will always be there for her whenever she needs us (and even when she thinks she doesn’t).
Thank you for being her forever birth-mother and bringing her into this world for us to share.
Sincerely,
Kerrin and Jeff

Our Story
Jeff and I are a friendly, laid-back husband and wife with a biological son, named Oliver (we call him Ollie). I own a dance studio with around 400 students that are also a huge part of our family. We work on that business together and Ollie gets in on the action as part of our petite company. When I’m not teaching ballet, tap and jazz, I also dance competitively in ballroom.
Jeff works for a bio-tech company that is developing a cure for Parkinson’s. When he’s not managing their offices, creating fun experiences and a positive environment for his employees, he is busy writing his own music and novels.
Ollie enjoys competitive dance in Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz and Ballet. He also plays soccer, violin, tennis, golf, gymnastics and loves Mario Kart and gummy bears (as do I!). One of our funny little things we like to do is find “rare” types of gummy candy and rate them.
As a family, we enjoy spending time together as much as possible. We have a huge extended family that all live locally and we love seeing them as often as we do! Our favorite frequent trips are to Cape Cod, Florida, New York and California.

Our Extended Family
We have a BIG family. I am the oldest of 6 and Jeff has a sister as well! My family consists of my mother (Nana), step-dad (Papa), father (Pops), Step-mother (Chris), twin brothers and 4 sisters. One of my brothers has 4 kids and the other has 2. My sister (Auntie KK), brother-in-law (Ano Dude) have fur babies (two adorable dogs). Jeff’s parents are his mother (Grammie), father (Grampy) and his sister (Auntie) and her fiancé (Ano).
On a weekly basis we have Auntie on Wednesdays who brings Ollie to gymnastics and Grammie and Grampy on Thursday to play with him while we work. We spend weekends with my parents (Nana and Papa) on Cape Cod as often as we can and they come up and spend nights at our house too! Auntie KK and Ano Dude (names Ollie came up with when he couldn’t say “uncle”) come over all the time to hang out with us. Our house is always full of friends and family. I love to host big meals and we love a good themed party! One of our favorite things to do is “fall fest” where we carve pumpkins and enjoy our fire pit with our friends, neighbors and family. Our home is almost never empty.

Our Home
We live in a beautiful town with one of the best school systems in the country. We have a big white house with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a finished basement/family room. We have a fairly big yard surrounded by conservation land. Lots of trees and trails to explore! Our home is on a dead-end street with lots of kids. The school bus picks up right at everyone’s front door (even though the school is only 5 minutes away). We live about 30 minutes outside of Boston and like to go there often to experience the museums, New England Aquarium, festivals, shows and concerts. Our dog’s name is Walter. He is a medium-sized poodle-ball of floof that loves people (and dancing!). He’s sweet, gentle and loves to snuggle and play. He spends a lot of time at the studio and the kids all love him.
Our Journey to Adoption
My (Kerrin’s) father was adopted and his story has always been something I’ve held close to my heart. Even before we decided to get pregnant and have a biological child, we always talked about adopting. My pregnancy with Ollie was a difficult one and it took a huge toll on my body. I decided that I didn’t want to put my body through that again, but our dream of having a second child has never left us. Having a little girl would add so much joy to our little family.
