Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
We can promise we will devote to your baby all the love of two parents for whom the chance to have a child is tantamount to a miracle. We have never been able to have a pregnancy, so we can never truly understand how you feel, but we are deeply grateful you are considering an adoption plan for your precious baby. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and for considering us as adoptive parents.
If you choose us, we promise to give your baby every opportunity to grow up into the best person they can be. We both take education extremely seriously and have the resources to ensure that your baby will have even better access to good schools and colleges than we did. Naturally, we will teach them the importance of love and family values and encourage them to spread their wings and to figure out who they truly are as a person. Most importantly, we promise to tell your baby every day how much they are loved and how much they have changed our lives for the better.
Sincerely,
Joe & Ale

Our Story
Now that Gigi is in school, our lives revolve around her schedule and the academic year. We try to make sure to have dinner together as a family every night, and Gigi loves helping us cook more and more. As a treat, we like exploring restaurants with her around Miami, and she loves trying new food as much as we do. We spend a lot of time together bringing Gigi around the city to new playgrounds, museums, and the beach, and we make sure she has extracurriculars with her friends, like swimming and art class. Our life is bilingual—we speak both English and Spanish in the home, have both English and Spanish-speaking friends, and Gigi goes to one of the oldest bilingual Spanish-English schools in Miami. Gigi is turning out to be a book nerd, just like Joe—Sorry Ale! We also try to make time to take care of ourselves—Ale works from home, so he likes to head out to the gym, while Joe uses the garage gym he built or uses the public pool before going to the office.
Our Extended Family
Joe is originally from Massachusetts, and Alejandro is from Arequipa, in the Andes of Peru. We come from hardworking, supportive, and very loving families that are the most important part of our lives. Joe has two younger brothers and a dozen cousins. Alejandro has an older brother and sister and several dozen cousins. All of our parents are still alive and are all madly in love with our daughter, Gigi. For Joe, Passover was usually the biggest family gathering of the year, while for Alejandro, it was Christmas. For the past few years, we've been trying to celebrate Thanksgiving with Joe's family and Christmas with Alejandro's. Both of our families were incredibly supportive of our decision to adopt, and everyone is excited for us to welcome another baby into the family.
Our Home
We have a beautiful house in a quiet residential neighborhood close to downtown Miami. We bought it specifically with the goal of raising kids, and our house is within walking distance of good schools and three different playgrounds, which means there are a lot of other kids nearby. This being Florida, the beach is a ten-minute drive away. Unlike many Florida houses, ours is nearly a century old, and we've put a lot of time and effort into making it comfortable and kid-friendly. (There were a lot of thorny plants to take out!) We have been able to host our daughter's birthday parties in our big backyard, and we have plenty of extra room for when Grandma and Grandpa come to visit in the winters.
Our Journey to Adoption
We originally met in Lima, Peru, ten years ago, and we realized from our very first date that we had each found our soulmate. We always knew we wanted a family together, so in 2015 we got married and settled down in Florida with the objective of raising a family. Adopting our daughter, Gigi, was the greatest moment in both our lives. Every day, watching her learn and grow is a gift for us. We are all excited for Gigi to have a little brother or sister to complete our family.
