Dear Birthmom

We want to thank you so much for considering us to be your baby’s parents. The adoption process is such a blessing, and we feel honored and grateful you are taking the time to learn more about us. We understand what a difficult decision this must be for you, and we admire your strength, bravery, and selfless love for your child.

If you choose us as your child’s adoptive parents, please know we promise to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. We attend a small Baptist church close to our home and cannot wait to raise a child who knows the love of Jesus and understands the power of prayer. We highly value education and want to raise an independent, curious, and creative child who can learn from every experience. We are excited to share our love of music, travel, and animals with your baby and look forward to many trips to the zoo, children’s centers, and parks.

Your baby will be raised knowing what a selfless decision you made due to your love for them. We want to remain in contact with our child’s birth family, if this is something you choose. We think it is so important that our child knows their story, and that story starts with you.

Our Story

We are Patrick and Kristy! We met while working together at the hospital 13 years ago. We became friends quickly, and it soon became clear we were destined to be something more. We are both nurses. Patrick works on a step-down unit at a local hospital, and Kristy is a nursing instructor at a local college. Patrick is laid back and fun-loving and can often be found playing one of his many instruments or riding his motorcycle. Kristy is outgoing and organized and enjoys playing volleyball, listening to podcasts, and curling up with a good book. We enjoy traveling, spending time with our family and friends, catching as many Cardinals baseball games as possible, and loving on our pups.

 Our Extended Family

We are blessed with a large, supportive group of family and close friends who are very excited to share this adoption journey with us. We have five nieces and nephews whom we adore, and we are excited for them to build relationships with their new cousin.

Kristy’s parents, sister, brother-in-law, and niece live close by. We see them frequently and enjoy our weekly family game nights, going out to eat, and attending community events. Kristy has many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Wisconsin and California whom we are close to, and we always look forward to our yearly Wisconsin trips. Patrick’s parents, older brother, sister-in-law, and nieces and nephews live three hours away. We visit them frequently. We are lucky to have Patrick’s younger brother close by and spend as much time with him as we can. We enjoy attending the family reunion every September and going to the local high school basketball tournament every Christmas.

The tradition we are most excited to share with your child is Christmas. We love Christmas and have many decorations inside and out. We look forward to Christmas Eve, when we wear our new pajamas, make hot chocolate, and watch Christmas movies!

 Our Home

We live in a cozy three-bedroom home in a small town in southern Missouri. Our home is in a great school district. Our neighborhood has lots of families, and there are always kids playing outside and riding their bikes. Our small town is less than 30 miles from two larger towns that have a wide range of activities, including theaters, sporting venues, zoos, amusement parks, libraries, and children’s centers. Our home is also close to three lakes as well as many parks and playgrounds. Our two rescue pups, Tippy and Lucy, love to run around in the backyard and play with their toys and have the sweetest temperaments. They are the best cuddle buddies around.

 Our Journey to Adoption

Our journey to adoption started five years ago when we were ready to grow our family and unfortunately experienced infertility. After three years of fertility treatments, we started to feel as though the opportunity to adopt was something God was calling us to do. Adoption is something we had discussed in the past, and it seemed as though the time was right. We feel very fortunate to be able to experience this journey, and we view adoption as a blessing. We are excited to bring the joy of a child into our home.
