We don’t know what led you to this decision, but we hope you are able to find peace in knowing you have chosen a life for your child where they will be considered the most amazing blessing and will be cherished every day.

We want you to know that we admire your selflessness and courage. Thank you for taking this step. If you do choose us to be on this journey with you, please know you are very loved and supported by us. As adoptive parents, we will always honor you in our home and your child will know how special their adoption story is. We hope that in viewing our profile, you can feel the love we already have for your child. Our Story

We truly enjoy spending time together no matter what we are doing. We love spending as much time as we can with our family and close friends. We enjoy traveling and exploring. We enjoy cooking together, working in the yard, learning how to do home projects, and going to craft shows, vintage markets, and antique stores. We enjoy concerts and live music events. We like hiking and going for walks. We also enjoy finding a comedy or documentary to watch for a quiet night in. We share our life with two pets, a cat and a dog. While Ashley tends to play it safe in life, Jimmy is more adventurous; this makes for a good balance in our lives. Ashley is a nurse and works from home. Jimmy is an electrician. We have weekends and evenings off to spend together or with family and friends. We spend most of our time laughing and being silly together. We try to take more of a lighthearted approach to life.

 Our Extended Family

Jimmy is the youngest of two. His family lives within 15 minutes of us, allowing us to get together often. We love spending time with his sister and brother-in-law at community events or dinner. We also enjoy dinner and games with his mom weekly.
Ashley’s family lives 5 hours away. Her brother is engaged with three children.

We spend many of our holidays celebrating with Jimmy’s family, honoring our traditions, and celebrating with friends. Each year we enjoy hosting Halloween for our family and friends and Thanksgiving for our family. For Halloween, Ashley makes chili and crock-pot mac-n-cheese (a tradition from her childhood) and themed appetizers and desserts. We have fun decorating, dressing up, and seeing kids dressed up having fun! Thanksgiving is Ashley’s favorite holiday! We enjoy spending all day cooking together making a large meal for our family.

We’ve developed several traditions with our friends. Our favorite tradition is our holiday weekend where we wear holiday pajamas, play holiday themed games, bake/cook together, and spend an evening in Chicago at the ChristKindl Market. We all look forward to sharing this fun weekend with a child someday!

 Our Home

We live in a smaller neighborhood in Northwest Indiana. We have a newer four bedroom, 2 ½-bath home with a basement. We share our home with a dog and a cat. We have a large yard with plenty of room to play and run. Our neighborhood is like its own community. We live in a community with a successful school district. We are only ten minutes from the small downtown area that offers several community events in the summer, such as family movie nights and live music, which we look forward to every summer. We are 20 minutes away from Lake Michigan where we spend quite a bit of time enjoying.

 Our Journey to Adoption

Life has allowed us to go on many adventures together and develop some great traditions that we look forward to sharing with a child someday. One of our favorites is our annual trip to Gatlinburg, TN. Each year in the fall we drive to Gatlinburg and stay at a cabin in the mountains enjoying all of the beautiful scenery the fall season has to offer. We like to visit many of the holiday shops, go to shows, explore, and spend time sitting on the deck at the cabin enjoying the views. It’s so peaceful and beautiful that time of year!

Another favorite place of ours is Lake Michigan. We enjoy spending many evenings and weekends either on the beach or hiking the dunes.
