Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
We cannot begin to express how deeply grateful we are that you are taking the time to consider us as parents for your baby. We recognize that this decision is extremely hard and stressful for you. While we can't fully understand everything you are experiencing, we want you to know that we see your love for your child through your consideration of the adoption process and through who you choose to be the adoptive parents to have as a part of their life.
We hope you find some comfort in knowing that Caitlyn is an adoptee and had a very positive experience. We would love to provide the same love and support she was given as an infant.
If we are given the honor of being chosen, we promise that your child will grow up in a home filled with unconditional love, laughter, and support. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and joyful environment where they will always know how cherished they are. We promise to celebrate who they are, encourage their dreams, and embrace their culture and background.
No matter where this journey leads, please know that we have so much respect and admiration for you and your decision. Whatever decision you make, we hope you find peace and comfort and we thank you for considering us.
Respectfully,
Eric & Caitlyn

Our Story
Hi! Thanks for taking a moment to learn a little about us! We met on New Year's Eve 2012 while out with friends, and after chatting and exchanging numbers, we've been together ever since - now happily married for 6 of those 12 years. We both work for the same company, which gives us flexible schedules and plenty of time together. Caitlyn is an Administrative Assistant supporting several teams, and Eric is a Senior Process Manager.
Family, faith, and fun are big parts of our lives. We love spending time with our loved ones, playing games, cooking, or having "music nights" with different themes where we listen to 50s music, or rap, etc. We travel as often as we can and enjoy exploring new places; from cities to beaches and countrysides, we like to see it all! After years of growing together and building a solid foundation together, we are excited and ready to grow our family through adoption.

Our Extended Family
We have a large, close-knit extended family and feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so much love and support.
On Eric's side, most of the family lives in Texas, and we stay in frequent contact with calls, visits, and big family reunions - especially around 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. His parents are retired and love traveling in their RV. He has two brothers - one lives in Texas with his wife, and the other lives in Iowa with his wife and three energetic, sweet boys. We talk to someone from his family almost every day.
Caitlyn was adopted as a baby and grew up in a blended, loving home. Her mom and stepdad are avid travelers and incredibly devoted grandparents to Caitlyn's young niece. Family adventures and quality time are a huge part of their lives. Her parents are so excited to welcome a new grandchild - they're already planning future visits and playtime!

Our Home
We live in Northern Virginia, close to Washington, D.C., in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. We're just minutes from the metro, making it easy to explore the city's museums, parks, and historical sites. We also love being near nature trails and the mountains, perfect for weekend getaways. Our community is diverse, safe, and filled with great schools, local events, and plenty of outdoor fun.
At home, we have two sweet cats who are both about 10 years old. They're calm, cuddly, and great with kids. We also have a cozy and spacious backyard area that's perfect for playtime and get-togethers with friends and family. We like to spend our evenings cooking, watching movies, or relaxing with music and games. Our home is full of love, laughter, and warmth, and we can't wait to fill it with even more memories as we grow our family.

Our Journey to Adoption
We've always dreamed of starting a family, and after years of trying to conceive, we knew adoption was the path meant for us. Caitlyn was adopted as a baby, so adoption has always held a special place in our hearts. When we began exploring our options, we felt a deep sense of peace and excitement about this journey. Caitlyn's experience helped us see the beauty in adoption and the strong bonds it creates. We feel incredibly grateful to be in a place where we can offer a child a life filled with love, stability, and joy. Our hearts are open, and we're ready to grow our family. We're excited to welcome a little one into our lives and share all the love and laughter we have to give.

Every Christmas we go around the neighborhoods to look at lights/decorations. We watch Love Actually & The Christmas Story. We also make batches of Eric’s mom’s “Trash” - which is roasted nuts, pretzels, cereal etc. SO good!!
