Our Story
We tend to be homebodies who also have a thirst for adventure and vacation. Richie teaches third-grade in town, and Ryan works as an administrative officer. During the summer we work our small farmette, raising goats and chickens and growing our own veggies. During the school year, we relax at home making soaps and lotions for our small business, utilizing our goat milk and other home grown ingredients.
Whenever we can, we like to visit with friends and family, whether it be dinner out or a BBQ at home. We love to have people over to hang out or have a game night. Both of us love when our friends and family bring the kiddos along. We enjoy hearing the laughter of everyone having fun!
The highlight of the year is when we head to the beach for a family get-away. The long weekend flies by when our family is all together.
When we need downtime, we sit and relax at home. Richie likes to read while Ryan watches a crime or fireman drama. We each have a fur baby to keep us warm on the couch.

Our Extended Family
We are lucky to have our families close to our home. We get together with both sides every chance we get! We love to have our whole family gather at our farm in the summer, when everyone can be outside. We host Thanksgiving at our house and invite somewhere between 30-40 family members.
Both of our extended families are growing! Richie’s two younger brothers are married with young children, and Ryan’s sister is married with two little ones. We love when we get to hang out with them at their homes too.
Our friends are incredible and always around. We both have a strong network of people who support us in the things we do. They are honest, loyal, caring and ready to jump in to help with any situation.

Our Home
We have a single-story ranch home that sits off the road about 200 yards. This is our own little slice of paradise! We have a small farmette, where we raise goats and chickens. We have 13 acres to spread out, and have lots of room to grow our family. Our three Chihuahuas, Piper(14), and the twins, (Finn & Ferb - 2), are full of energy and have so much love to give. Our lazy cat, Sophie, hangs out around the house, judges all the things we are doing. Our home is about five minutes from downtown, grocery stores, and our favorite, Target.
Our Journey to Adoption
From a young age, we both knew that we wanted to have a family of our own! We are planning to make our dream a reality as soon as possible . Over the past few years, we have talked with our family and friends and have had such a wonderful, positive reaction to our plan to raise a little one.
We have a nursery ready for our future little one that includes items from our own childhood, as well as hand-me-downs and new items from people rooting for us. We are ready to grow our family and cannot wait to share our home with your baby .
We are also not the first in our families to adopt a little one. We have cousins who have been adopted from overseas, and other relatives who have adopted from closer to home. Since we are unable to have our own biological child together, we chose to adopt and spread our love.
