Dear Birthmom

Dear Expectant Mother,

We both want to take this moment to thank you for selflessly considering adoption. It is undoubtedly a very tough decision for you, and we cannot imagine the wave of emotions you are feeling. Please know we are here for you to support you through this journey.
We know you are here because you want the very best for your child. We want you to know we are very excited and ready for this opportunity, if you would choose us as your child’s adoptive family. Our son is overjoyed at the possibility of becoming a big brother and has been anxiously awaiting this moment for what feels like his “whole life”. A wonderful home full of love and opportunity awaits your child in our home and hearts. We want you to know your child will never be lost to you. They will always know their story. It would be an honor to be entrusted with their care, and we would ensure they grow up knowing the depth of your love for them.

If there is anything you need or any way we could help make this process more comfortable, we would work to ensure you got that help. Your well-being and peace of mind are incredibly important to us, and we want this experience to be one that brings comfort, knowing that your child will be surrounded by endless love, compassion, safety, and opportunity.

Thank you for your trust. We would be forever grateful for the opportunity to care for your precious child.

With love,
Teresa and Phil

Our Story

Thank you for taking the time to review our profile. We are from a small, tight knit Midwest town. We have known each other for 16 years and have been together for three. Teresa has a son, Gage, who is 12 years old and lives with us full time. Teresa fits the mom mold to a T with her consistency and nurturing soul. Phil’s resilience, selflessness, and sense of humor have molded him perfectly into a father figure and best friend for Gage. The two are always playing together! Teresa works in human resources, and Phil is a police sergeant for a nearby city. We love going on family vacations, watching movies, or sitting on the back porch or by the fire in the backyard. Our neighborhood is the perfect environment for long walks and bike rides with a beautiful nearby park. Whatever we are doing is secondary as long as we are doing it as a family.

 Our Extended Family

Family is very important for us, and we keep in close contact with both of our families, who all live nearby. Teresa’s parents and two brothers are regularly involved in our lives along with Teresa’s four nieces and nephews, ranging in age from two to 14 years old. She also has ten cousins, with several children between the ages of two and 18. Phil’s parents are very nearby, and his two brothers and sister are all within a two-hour drive.

Holidays are always a time for the extended families to get together, and there are no shortages of presents on Christmas (WE LOVE CHRISTMAS) and birthdays. We regularly look for any excuse to come together. Every year we go on a vacation with all the kids, usually to Florida. Summers are also filled with trips to the park, basketball games, and get-togethers for a cookout or a restaurant on a rainy day. We also regularly take the kids out on the family boat at a nearby lake.

Bringing a new precious life into our family would certainly be adding a baby to our extended family too, and there would be no shortage of love to go around.

 Our Home

We love to spend time in the privacy of our backyard, sitting on the screened-in porch, having campfires, and playing with our two six-year-old black Labradors, Rocky and Wrigley, who LOVE being with people. We live in a four-bedroom, two-story house with a finished basement and lots of room to play both inside and outside. We are in a cul-de-sac where our property sits on over 1.3 acres and has a large, private backyard that adjoins several open farm fields. The possibilities for playtime are endless. In the winter, our house is the one with the giant snowman and snow forts, and you could not miss our house from a plane with all the Christmas decorations.

 Our Journey to Adoption

We were so excited to begin our relationship journey together because we both knew we had found our forever soulmate. In the years since, our relationship has only grown stronger, and we are ready to expand our family. Medically, we are unable to do that on our own and are both happy to take the route of adoption. Teresa’s aunt adopted six children through the foster system, and her friend has adopted twins from Angel Adoption. This assured us we were in good hands for this journey. We are humbled and blessed at the idea of being the right home for a mother to trust in and know her baby will be given a life full of love, happiness, and opportunity.
