Dear Birthmom
Dear Birthmom
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile. We are sure you have many feelings and thoughts going through your mind, but we want you to know that whatever decision your heart goes with will be the right one. While we will never be able to understand what you are feeling at this moment, we want you to know your love for your child cannot be questioned. If chosen, we promise that every day we will work to help them understand who they are, where they came from, and how truly loved they are to have someone make such a big life decision. They will learn about love, respect, hard work, and, most of all, FUN!
Your child will have the same love and care that you would want for them, with a large, blended family full of unconditional love. All our families are more than excited to have a new addition to the family. Your child will have love, support, and encouragement from all of us. Every day of their lives and every milestone will be captured in our hearts and our families’ hearts. Thank you again for taking the time to read our profile.
Sincerely,
Forrest & Josh

Our Story
Hi! We are Josh and Forrest. We met in 2015, and there was a connection at first sight. Josh volunteered for an ambulance and worked as an office assistant, and Forrest was a nurse close to where Josh worked. Fast forward to 2020, and our connection hadn’t faded. We got engaged a year later and married in 2023. We share common interests in camping, ATV, and fishing. We always wake up with a smile on our faces, never going to bed mad at each other. We complement each other because Forrest brings a sense of adventure, while Josh provides a sense of stability. Our ability to listen patiently allows us to feel heard when opening up to new experiences that have helped both of us step out of our comfort zones. While we both may have different strengths and skills, we use those to create a dynamic where we enhance each other’s abilities and work well together.
Our Extended Family
Family is very important to us, and although some of our immediate family may live in different towns or different states, we are all still very close. Josh’s family is originally from Connecticut, and his adoptive mother lives less than thirty minutes away. Forrest’s father and stepmom live three minutes away from us (we could walk to their house through the woods on a nice day), and Forrest’s mother lives about thirty minutes away. Fun Fact: Forrest’s grandmother and Josh’s adoptive mom used to work for the same company a while back—what a small world! Forrest's brother lives ten minutes away on our way to work for both of us. We always try to make it a priority to get together with all sides of the families at least once a month.
Our Home
We live in a three-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath home in a very small town in the northwest corner of Connecticut, with a nice yard and our two cats, Joy and Lucy. Our yard also contains our house on wheels, our camper “Nora,” that we like to take out on weekend excursions. Our neighborhood is tight. Down the road are our close neighbors, and less than three minutes away is Forrest’s father and stepmother and another very tight neighbor. They were all more than excited for us when we told them we have begun the adoption process.
Our Journey to Adoption
We always knew that one day, no matter what, we wanted to adopt and be able to give the same compassion, love, and care that Josh received when he was adopted at the age of three. Josh was adopted by a blended family, where they never gave up on him no matter how hard the journey got; they always showed him love and care. Forrest’s grandparents adopted two children in the late ’60s, and he’s always been taught to love no matter what a person’s background or history is.
