Dear Birthmom

Dearest Baby,

I look at you and feel an indescribable feeling of joy for who you will become. I promise to love you and take care of you by providing all the opportunities your heart desires. If you can’t understand some of the difficult decisions we’ve made, know they have been made with our love for you. We know you will prosper and make a difference in the world. I will stand by your side each and every day while many others will admire you from afar. Let’s color outside of the lines together and live life in a colorful rainbow!

With love,
Ashley Marie

I want you to feel comfortable with whomever you choose to take this emotional journey with you in raising your child. Thank you for considering me!

My Story

Hello! My name is Ashley Marie, and my friends and family describe me as outgoing, courageous, giving, and resourceful. In my free time, I enjoy decorating, river tubing, DIY projects, volunteering, and attending festivals, concerts, and sporting events. I graduated from Indiana University in three years with a degree in sports marketing and management. I worked as a teacher’s assistant at the college gym and for retail companies while in college. While in Indianapolis, I was a semi-finalist in the Miss Indiana pageant, modeled, acted, and was an NFL cheerleader. I was very active in the community while volunteering for the American Red Cross and Junior Achievement. I decided to take on a new adventure by moving to the Carolinas. This is when I began working in sales for a robotics company by providing automated solutions to manufacturers.

 My Extended Family

A family of firsts is the best way to describe what we’ve accomplished. My sister was the first to join the National Guard, my dad was the first to graduate from college, my brother was the first to play professional basketball overseas, and I want to be the first to adopt.

For holidays, I go home for Christmas, enjoy Thanksgiving with friends, and make another trip home in July during the summer. My family also comes to visit me throughout the year, and we spend time going to festivals and enjoying the arts and each other. I’m fortunate to have developed strong friendships with those who support me. I believe “it takes a village to raise a child,” and I’ve created one to share with a child.

 My Home

I purchased my home in South Carolina four years ago and absolutely love the area, which has an abundance of outdoor activities. I live on a corner lot within walking distance of the community pool, BMX center, river, YMCA, and neighborhood playground. The neighborhood is full of friendly neighbors, retirees, and professionals with small children. I reside in a two-story home within six miles of the elementary school. I have a well-trained nine-year old-dog named Annabelle. She is a true delight that’s been socialized with other dogs, cats, and children. I have a fenced-in yard, a screened-in back porch, and a wrap-around front porch where I enjoy sitting outside with Annabelle. My home is inviting and ready to pour love into a new child.

 My Journey to Adoption

Two years ago I had surgery to remove 27 fibroids from my uterus. I went to a specialist who later shared that I would not be able to have children. I’ve wanted to add an adoptive child to my family since before my ability to have children on my own changed. I remained positive and continued to pursue other means of becoming a mother despite my physical challenges. My passion to become a mother blossomed while I became financially stable and ready to become a single mother by choice. I do not take the decision lightly and truly understand what it takes to be a loving, nurturing, and devoted parent.
