Hello,
Thank you for considering adoption! We can only imagine the emotions you are going through to make a decision like this. Adoption is not an easy choice, but there are couples that would make really good parents that haven’t been able to have a child themselves. We believe we are one of those couples! If you choose us, your baby will be greatly loved! We plan on raising them so they know that they are loved and that their parents believe in them. We plan to cuddle them a lot, hold and rock them sweetly to sleep, and give them lots of kisses. We desire that they grow up to be the person God created them to be and it is our job to help guide them. As they grow, we want to take them on many adventures too, visiting mountains and beaches! They will have a full life surrounded by people who love them!
We are a loving couple who has a great support system around us. Our friends and family are excited for this next step in our lives, and they told us they believe we would be amazing parents. From volunteering in the nursery at church to being the favorite aunt and uncle, we are ready and excited for this next step!

Theresa and Joel
Our Story
We are a couple that loves to try new things and we laugh a lot along the way. We also like to give little surprises to each other. Joel likes to surprise Theresa with flowers or donuts and Theresa likes to sneak chocolate chip cookies into Joel’s lunch. During the day, Joel works as a website specialist and in the evening, he is often found working in the garage on car projects. Theresa was a teacher and is currently working on her home daycare license and enjoys baking and hanging out with girlfriends.
Our Extended Family
We are very close to our family. We get together for most holidays, including Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Fourth of July. During our time together, we make festive meals and play games.
Joel’s parents live within 30 minutes of us, and we visit them often. For Christmas, we have a special tradition of the whole family coming over, including all four sons and families, and we fondue steak while snacking on side dishes. Then we listen to the Christmas story and do a gift exchange.
Theresa’s parents live a little over an hour away. They have a tradition of going up north to a cabin for a week every summer. Theresa’s brother and kids all come up. We have fun playing by the water, canoeing, and fishing. We also go to turtle races, eat pizza, and go out for ice cream. For Mother’s Day, we started a tradition where Theresa’s parents drive up and we go out flower shopping to a large fundraising flower sale. We shop together and pick out all the plants we want to put in our gardens that summer.

Our Home
Our suburban home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is a nice home with a good-sized front and back yard. We have one smart dog named Jacks and one sweet cat named Charlie. We have friendly neighbors, and many kids can be seen running back and forth to homes and biking up and down the street. We have at least three parks within walking distance from our home. Our location is near the big city and not far from state parks and community centers. The local school district has a good reputation, although we may choose private education when the time comes.
Our Journey to Adoption
After we got married, we were looking forward to starting a family. Adoption has always been a topic of conversation, although we didn’t realize how soon it would come into play. After trying fertility treatments and learning we weren't going to have a child without help, we began pursuing adoption. With our dream to grow our family, it would be a great blessing to us to have and hold a child and get to raise them. We look forward to sharing our love and home with a special little one.
